Rules & Regulation

The document describes rules for a robot soccer competition called Roboccer. Teams must build a manually controlled robot to play soccer according to the specifications. The main tasks are to build a robot that can successfully play soccer by pushing a ball towards the opponent's goal. The event will consist of two 4-minute halves with extra time possible for draws. Teams earn points for goals and lose points for fouls. The team with the most points at the end of regulation and extra time will be declared the winner. Prize money is awarded to the top two teams.

ROBO RACE

Problem Statement: Make an All-terrain vehicle (robot) that is capable of taking

sharp turns, climb a hill and move precisely in a straight line. Vehicle should be able to
sustain unpleasant and unfavourable environment.
Main task is to make such a vehicle that is fast and have precise control. Build a manual robot
which can traverse a track of uneven surfaces. The robot should be manually operated. The
robot should able to traverse the track without falling or jumping across any part of the track.

General Rules:
1. The robot should be manually operated.(wired robot only)
2. All arena dimensions have a tolerance of upto10%.
3. Each team can consist of a maximum of 4 members.
4. Each team should have unique participants i.e. no two teams can have any participant(s) in
common.
5. The team members can be from different institutes or colleges.
6. The decision of the Team ZAZEN will be final and binding.
7. The Team ZAZEN have rights to add or modify the rule before starting the event.
8. No team or robot should cause any damage to the arena in any form.
9. A standard 220 volt AC supply will be provided by Team ZAZEN in the arena.
10. All participating teams must bring their own power supply, in the form of battery or
eliminators only.
11. Violation of any of the above rules will lead to disqualification.
12. Participant will not be allowed to touch the robot during the event, they will have to
control it with the help of remote only.

Arena Specifications:
Bridge-Gap width: 14cm
The width of the track is 30 cm throughout.
Humps
Hanging bridge.
Water level 3cm
1st Round: This is a qualification round. Each robot have to traverse the track from
‘START ‘to ‘P1’ (a point on arena), to qualify for the 2nd round.

2nd Round: This is a selection round. Each robot have to traverse the track from ‘P1’to P2.

3rd Round: This is the final round. Each robot have to traverse the track from “P2” to
“FINISH”. Winners will be chosen through this round, based on points collected by them.

Robot Specifications:
1. Each robot can have maximum dimension of 25 x 25 x 20 cm3 (L x B x H)
respectively.

2. Maximum potential difference between any two points of robot must not exceed 12v.
3. No part/mechanism of/on the robot should exceed the given dimensions before the
commencement of the event run. The robots can exceed their respective dimensions once the
event commences.
4. Team ZAZEN reserves the right to disallow any readymade chassis which may give an
unfair advantage to a participating team.

EVENT NAME: Trace The Path (Autonomous Robotics
Event)
It is an autonomous robotics event. Team has to build a fully automatic robot
which will follow the white on the black surface or vice versa.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1.The maximum number of members in a team is FOUR. Each team should have
unique participants.

2.This event will consist of two rounds i.e. Prelims and Final.
3. Prelims is a qualifying round in which robot has to complete the whole path
in given stipulated time.
4.Teams which qualify prelims will go for Final (KNOCKOUT) round.
5.In final (KNOCKOUT) round along with following the path it has to blink LED
in check points and bot completing the track in least time wins.
6.Arenas shown below may likely to be same or may change.
7.Restart may be taken from the previous check points only.
8.There will be minus points after TWO restarts.
9.Teams are required to submit their SOURCE CODE, also have to write & run
the bot on the same given source code under the scrutiny of the Coordinators.
10.On board power supply 220v, power supply via laptops are banned but power
banks are allowed.
11.The rights regarding any changes in the rules are preserved by the
Coordinators.
12.The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
PRELIMS

In prelims robot has to complete the whole path by following the black line on white
surface.

FINAL

In finals robot have to follow white line on black surface.

+ sign represents the check points. In final round LED should be
blinked at every check points. Team complete the task earlier will be
announced as winner.
