PREAMBLE

.(1) For Wind & Seismic Load calculations IS:875 & IS:1893 Part - 4 respectively are
complied with for statutory requirements.

.(2) This tank is treated as Category 2 Equipment per IS 1893 Part- 4.


Thus Importance Factor as API 650 Apdx E is taken as 1 75 as suggested in

.(3) Top Shell course kept thicker to reduce localalised stresses due to supporting posts.

very high, section needs heavy sections.

.(5) Formats Basic Standard formulas of API 650 are used. However it is
modified as per Apdx -AL for Aluminium alloy. Therefore constants are modified
in standard formulas wherever needed.
