Support series production, SOP, Ramp up and follow up OEE, scrap reduction, C/T, Productivity, Break down, Machine
improvement and monitoring production process to meet quality, cost and output
Support new model set up from SE-Team until SOP in Hemaraj Plant (simple process)
Capability measurement (Measurement & Test process, Machine, Production), SPC control chart monitoring & take action
in case of deviation of control criteria, SPC Control loop creation, User for Q-DAS software (procella, qs-stat, solara)
Preparation of production documents and working standard (e.g. work instruction, test instruction, etc.), cooperate with
support functional team for performance calibration, Standardized work creation and improvement (C/T, MTM, etc.)
Reporting, communication to lead plant and internal (IPN report)
Frequently reporting, communication to lead plant and external suppliers
Support 8D activity and Customer request by using PSS
Support audit from internal and External TS16949, ISO 14001 and Safety Audit
Budget planning for improvement in own task area and spare part jig/fixture/molding for own task area (e.g. investment,
expense, cost reduction)
Develop and release new assembly lines & new process together with local suppliers in AP region for specific area
Review and revise for correction P-FMEA, Control plan with Engineering Staff, Error proofing development for specific
area
Work together with co-functional for performance calibration
Cooperate with cross functional team BPS, Quality activities of MFE (e.g. FMEA line walk, 4M change management,
Concession, risk management, SMC, PKM, Point CIP, System CIP, 5S and 14Q) and HSE Safety Activities
Participation and supporting of Engineering change request (ECR preparation and revision)
Job’s Descriptions
Play a vital role in product development, process development, and integration between
Engineering and Manufacturing (both within Harley-Davidson and Supply Base).
Create manufacturing innovation, standardization, Bill-of-Process guidelines and templates,
requirements planning, risk assessment/mitigation (PFMEA), and process design.
Lead new product development projects through interfacing with design engineering, systems
maintained by GIS, transitioning the process to Operations, completing after action analysis,
and providing Continuous Improvement.
Oversee quality, cost, and timing targets and deliverables on assigned projects.
*Experience Required
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. In addition,
they will have demonstrated the following:
Demonstrated experience in Machining of Aluminum as well as Steel components and
familiar with machine tools, CNC controls, workholding, and cutting tools.
Familiarity with other preceding or subsequent operations including Casting, Forging,
Assembly, Heat Treatment, Painting, and Cosmetic Finishes.
Knowledge in Design for Assembly/Manufacturing (DFA/M) principles; Advanced Product
Quality Planning (APQP) Methodology and the integrated product and process development
techniques within it. Examples include Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plans,
I/PPAP, and Standard Work.
Success managing medium-to-large-scale projects from concept development to capital
funding planning and approval, and ultimately through successful implementation.
Success managing procurement of supplementary machining processes such as part
washers, leak testing, and sub-assembly from equipment selection through implementation.
Ability to lead change, influence others, foster key stakeholder relationships, identify and plan
for technical process improvements while remaining focused, non-confrontational, and flexible
under pressure.
