The following prompts will be shown:


Select a 3D solid or surface:
Select an object to imprint:
Delete the source object [Yes/No] <N>:

This command will affect both surfaces and solids, which makes it a unique
command among the previous and coming commands. A 2D object should
be drawn prior to command. AutoCAD will ask to select the desired solid,
and then select the 2D object. Finally, specify whether to keep the 2D object
or not. The following image illustrates the concept:

6.13 COLORING SOLID EDGES


This command will assign colors for selected edges. To issue this command,
go to the Home tab, locate the Solid Editing panel, and select the Color
Edges button:

The following prompts will be shown:


Select edges or [Undo/Remove]:
Select edges or [Undo/Remove/ALL]:

Select the desired edges to be colored. When done press [Enter]; the Select
Color dialog box will be shown. Select the desired color; then click OK.
The colored edges will be shown only in some visual styles, which are 2D
Wireframe, Hidden, Shaded with edges, or Wireframe.

6.14 COPYING SOLID EDGES


This command will copy the desired edges of a solid to produce a 2D object.
This command looks like the Extract edges we discussed above, but this one
is different as it gives you the freedom to select some of the edges and not
all the edges. To issue this command, go to the Home tab, locate the Solid
Editing panel, and select the Copy Edges button:

Select edges or [Undo/Remove]:
Specify a base point or displacement:
Specify a second point of displacement:

AutoCAD will ask you to select the desired edges, then specify a base point
and a second point that is identical to copying objects. When done press
[Enter] twice. The following image explains the concept:

6.15 OFFSETTING SOLID EDGES


This command will offset a planar solid edge to create a closed polyline or
spline using offset distance. To issue this command, go to the Solid tab,
locate the Solid Editing, and select the Offset Edge button:

The following prompts will be shown:


Select face:
Specify through point or [Distance/Corner]:

AutoCAD will ask to select a face, then ask to select a through point. This is
the default option; specifying this point means you will specify distance and
