Group 1 Research
Inductive research methods are used to analyze an observed event. Deductive methods are used
to verify the observed event. Inductive approaches are associated with qualitative research and
deductive methods are more commonly associated with quantitative research.
Research is defined as the creation of new knowledge and/or the use of existing knowledge in a
new and creative way so as to generate new concepts, methodologies and understandings. This
could include synthesis and analysis of previous research to the extent that it leads to new and
creative outcomes.
Research means to carefully analyze the problems or to do the detailed study of the specific
problems, by making use of special scientific methods.
Research can be done on any topic, be it medical, non-medical, IT, or anything else. In order to
do research, first of all, you need to have a topic or the problem on which you can do research.
The topic must have relevant questions to answer.
For research, certain steps have to follow like first observation, then background research then
preparing of hypothesis, eventually conducting a simple experiment.
According to the Australian Universities, research defined as the creation of new
knowledge and/or the use of existing knowledge in a new and creative way.
Is a careful and detailed study into a specific problem, concern, or issue using the
scientific method.
Payton (1979) defined research is the process of looking for a specific question in an
organized reliable way.
Research is the pursuit of truth with the help of study, observation, comparison and
experiment; the search for knowledge through objective and systematic method of
finding solutions to a problem. -Kothari, 2006
IMPORTANCE OF RESEACH
1. Research will help to understand any subject and its principals in much better and easier way
which will encounter new questions and search for answers of those questions.
2.Research means trying something out of the box. When it is done such things it will separate
one from another students which will surely attract attention of your tutors as well which in turn
benefits extreme need of help from someone who is more knowledgeable than the other.
3. Research is not always a concept that practitioners, managers and policy makers respect. Too
often it is seen as an academic activity conducted by others to the profession, not with the
profession.
4. Research education professionals are always learning, finding out things, analysing
information, adapting their behaviour according to information received, looking to improve and
adapting to modern demands.
5. Practitioners have to comply policy. Teachers can adapt It to fit the individual needs of their
own pupils.
6. Research leads to an expansion of knowledge and discoveries of new medical treatments and
cures.
8. Research methodologies give teachers the tools to analyse and make informed decisions about
their practice.
9. Teachers project their personality upon learning experiences. Sometimes this is intuitive and
these decisions can either be successful or fail.
10. As teachers are accountable, the public must have faith in the profession and attitudes to
education vary across many social groups so the performance of teachers can be demonstrated
through the publication of research findings.
Research is important because it gives direction to deal with a specific problem. Whether
the problem is thoroughly solved or not is not the forte of the research work.
Accumulating amicable and all the possible solutions hypothetically are in itself
considered a commendable achievement.
The main purpose of research is to inform action
A Tool for Building Knowledge and for Facilitating Learning
Means to Understand Various Issues and Increase Public Awareness
A Way to Prove Lies and to Support Truths
A Seed to Love Reading, Writing, Analyzing, and Sharing Valuable Information
Research in education has rendered an imperative contribution in acquiring information
regarding different cultures, norms and values
