1. How important is physical fitness to the success of a person?

It is important for us to be physically fit for us to improve our lifestyle. Physical fitness is not all
about the nutrition and workouts or being in shape, but it is also about personal development. Being
physically fit keeps our muscles and bones strong, controls our weight, disease proofs our body, improves
our mood, improve our brain function, helps us sleep better, boosts energy and improves a lot more.
Furthermore, honing our minds and strengthen self-discipline for us to achieve our goals. And for us to
accomplish our own way of success, being fit and healthy increases our confidence. But most importantly,
we need to be physically fit and healthy because we all deserve the best version of ourselves.

2. The nature of Physical Education

Physical Education nurtures personal and community wellness. It could be by letting the learners
attain healthy, lifelong attitudes and behaviours through physical activity as part of the over-all educational
knowledge.
3. The contribution of physical education to a person’s psychomotor, cognitive and affictive.

Psychomotor
This domain of Physical Education is characterized by progressive levels of behaviours from
observation to mastery of a physical skill. Also, it includes physical movement, coordination, and use of the
motor-skill areas. Development of these skills requires practice which develop our organic system to resist
fatigue.

Cognitive
Physical Education discourses the development of content knowledge and logical skills. Through PE, learners
would develop strategies that help them excel in activities such as games and sports.

Affective
This domain emphasizes on students’ approaches in feelings, attitudes, and values about the movement that
is difficult to measure because it takes place internally. Physical Education involves games that are played in a team
that leads to the development of learners’ sportsmanship. Since they play as one group, this develops the sense of
leadership, teamwork, discipline, self-control, trustworthiness and camaraderie.

4. The aims of physical education


It aims to develop students' physical capability and awareness of movement and safety, and their
ability to use these to perform during a wide selection of activities related to the event of a lively and
healthy lifestyle. It also aimed to form every child physically, mentally and emotionally fit and also to
develop in him such personal and social qualities as will help him to measure happily with others and
build him up an honest citizen. It helps students study their abilities, aptitudes, limitations, and potential.
It provides opportunities for college kids to: develop creativity, positive attitudes toward physical activity,
assume more personal and social responsibility, and meet performance obligations as individuals and in
groups.

5. The development of physical education in the Philippines.

Physical Education in the Philippines first started in Pre-Spanish Period where people used their physical
strength and attributes to hunt, leap, run, jump and dance. From then on, the development of PE became fast pace.
As of today, we are influenced by foreign made games. Nonetheless, the dances like Folk Dance and the iconic
Larong Pinoy such as tumpang preso, luksong-tinik, luksong baka, etc.
