Course Guide for SEE 18 (Foreign Language)

Your Course
This is a three-hour per week course which aims students to be able to speak
and write using the Spanish language. The main purpose of the course is to
teach students to understand and to speak Spanish as a medium of
communication through a good pronunciation and solid vocabulary.

House Rules
Rules are spelled out clearly so you and I can work well and maintain respect,
discipline and camaraderie inside and even outside of the classroom. As facilitator of
learning process, I would like to make clear the following matters once and for all.

A. Work Ethics
You are expected to:
1. Exhibit full responsibility and accountability of your learning
process;
2. Exercise real responsiveness and resourcefulness of your self –
learning procedure;
3. Show personal discipline and determination in accomplishing given
learning tasks; and,
4. Finish tasks on time or as scheduled.

B. Personal Traits
You need to be/have:
1. Diligent in completing or complying daily and weekly tasks;
2. Self – reliant in doing the learning activities;
3. Self – motivated as you do the learning tasks alone;
4. Self – control for any disruptions; and
5. Strong time management.

C. Social Media Ethics


You need to:
1. Exercise always absolute respect for privacy;
2. Show courtesy to anyone else;
3. Exhibit sensitivity to other people;
4. Know the limits or boundaries; and
5. Think before you click.

Other Reminders:

1. Complete all your requirements on time. This is to avoid any problem in the
future. Each requirement is given corresponding percentage weight. There’s
no substitute for unaccomplished requirement. No other way to complete it
but to do and submit the said requirement.

2. Attendance will be checked but there’s no weight given to it. Being absent
doesn’t mean an excuse or exemption from any assignment, quiz, activity, etc.
Any reconsideration for anything missed (quiz, assignment, or activities) will
be under the discretion as your teacher.
3. Business transactions should be limited and done only at the office and
classroom during official time. Submission of any requirements or outputs
should be submitted at the office. As such, no one is allowed to submit
anything in our house.
4. Be updated by constantly on link to the FB Group Chat and Social Group
Learning.
5. STRICTLY NO SPECIAL TREATMENT will be observed. Do NOT EXPECT VIP
treatment. Everyone will be treated fairly and equally.
6. Prepare your study area prior to our weekly session. Expect for output(s)
every after session.

Requirements
In assessing individual performance, the following are the parameters to be
used:

1. FORMATIVE PERFORMANCE: Learning 60%
Tasks/Activities, Assignments
2. SUMMATIVE PERFORMANCE A: 20%
, Mid – Term and Final Term Examinations
3. SUMMATIVE PERFORMANCE B: Unit 20%
Quizzes
Total 100%

Note: Make sure that you have done well and completed all the requirements. The
passing score is 75%.

Implication: You have to take note that the 75% means that out of 100 points, the
allowable number of errors will be 25 points only to get a passing score. Below 75
points means failed.
