Edith Cowan Perth
Introduction:
We are in the middle of a digital revolution. The amount of data being generated
in the enterprises is increasing tremendously and organizations are struggling to
keep up with the influx. Coming from a background of Pre-Engineering I have
developed a passion to study into the field of CIVIL Engineering.
Academic Background:
I have completed my Secondary education from DAISY PUBLIC BOYS HIGH
SCHOOL Faisalabad. My natural interest in Science & Mathematics, analytical
ability, and capacity for hard work helped me to perform well in all academic
areas. I secured myself a seat in Associate-Engineer in one of the reputed
college, GOVT. STAFF TRAINING COLLEGE Faisalabad. My journey
towards achieving my dreams started here. My dedication and keen interest for
the Science & Mathematics motivate me to take an undergraduate program in
Civil Engineering from Edith Cowan University.
The city that I have chosen is Perth and the reason behind it is that Perth is the
best city for education in Australia. According to the QS ranking of best student
cities of 2017, Perth is the top best city for international students in the world.
Apart from highly efficacious system of education, Perth rates highly in
entertainment, health care, research and development, tourism and sport, making
it the world's most live able city for the seventh year in a row in 2017.
Studying at Edith Cowan University:
Edith Cowan University because it is ranked in the top 2 per cent of worldwide for
academic studies and research. The Civil Engineering program at Edith Cowan
University enable to adapt to a dynamically developing and changing
technological environment through the upgrading of their skills and knowledge.
Graduates of Civil Engineering course will be equipped with the knowledge to
work in the private sector or in government.
The distinguished faculty and excellent facilities at Edith Cowan University make
its graduation program ideally suited to my professional goals. The University will
provide me an energetic atmosphere, which will shape me to a thinker and a
learner. The flexibility of the curriculum will give me the board-based education I
need to widen the scope of my knowledge and skills. The diversity of the student’s
body will open my mind to new influences, new ideas and new ways of doing
things. The international education will give me the training and the caliber to
meet the global clients. I look forward to being an active contributing member of
the student community at Edith Cowan University.
The Civil Engineering Projects class, originally designed to serve the "capstone
design" concept, requires the students to completely design a civil engineering
project encompassing several of the civil engineering disciplines. Discussion and
consideration of constraints such as economic factor, safety, reliability, aesthetics,
ethics, and social impact are incorporated as a normal part of most design
courses. Aesthetics and social impact are stressed in the Sanitary Engineering
course; and ethics, safety, social impact, and professional issues are covered in
the Civil Engineering Seminar course. In addition to design, the Civil Engineering
Projects course includes principles of project and/or civil engineering, cost
analysis and estimating, and scheduling. It highlights the significance of
developing well-prepared civil engineering professionals, especially within the
context of Malaysia. As a result, we demonstrate the essential need for preparation
of the respective academic program.
Above all, it would be a blessing to be able to learn under the guidance of the
professors at Edith Cowan University. I am excited about entering into this new
phase of my life and it is my belief that I would be able to make a positive
contribution to the University.
There are certainly a lot of good options one could opt for while deciding where
to study in Australia. During my decision I came across a lot of other good
Universities where my preferred course was offered. Some universities I initially
shortlisted were Curtin University, La Trobe University, Edith Cowan University,
and Federation University. I had the wish of studying in Perth because of it being
labelled as the best city study destination for students. I narrowed down to Edith
Cowan University and Curtin University; these universities captivated my
interest more than any other educational institutes in Australia.
This program caught my eye more than the other universities because it enables
me to deal with problems faced working in a firm back at Pakistan by giving me
hindsight of how things work in the real-world. Apart from these I also opted for
Edith Cowan University because it campuses are at ideal locations.
Civil Engineers can find job in Government departments, private and public-sector
industries, research and teaching institution etc. Job opportunities for civil
engineers are expected to increase as fact as the average for all jobs, although the
construction industry is vulnerable to fluctuations in the economy.
Civil engineers will always be needed to maintain and repair existing facilities and
structure and to construct new ones. After doing B.Sc. One can look for jobs in
road projects, building work, consultancy firms, quality testing laboratories or
housing societies. The experts say there is a high demand for experienced civil
engineers in developed countries.
Civil engineers are employed in all the major construction projects carried out by
the provincial or federal government, the railways, private construction
companies, military, engineering services, consultancy services etc.
Civil engineering graduates can also go in for research and take up teaching or
they can open their own independent consultancy services.
I read and understand the terms and condition of Study Visa. I have to follow all
rules and regulation and some of those rules are, I have work limitation of only 40
hours per fort night, I must maintain enrolment in a registered course that is the
same level as, or at a higher level than, the registered course for which I got a
visa. I have to arrange and maintain adequate funds to maintain overseas student
health care (OSHC) and satisfy the student visa requirement that means I have
sufficient financial capacity to support my study and stay in Australia, I also have
to maintain my attendance and pass my papers.
Conclusion:
To Conclude I would say that I’m a law-abiding citizen of my country and I want
to get the benefit of studying in prestigious institute of Australia so that I will get
the technical skills and improve myself and learn from the best faculty and latest
research. I want to serve for the betterment of my country and to achieve a suitable
position is related to Civil Engineering in my home town. Moreover, I am a
responsible citizen of my country, I know how to abide rules and regulation
similarly all the visa conditions of mine at Australia have been researched on and
I will fulfill all of them positively and with due respect, after all its my career.
I’ll be glad to provide you any further documents and information if required.
Your positive response regarding my application will be highly appreciable.
Yours Sincerely,
Zeeshan Irfan
