Water Tank Design and Crack Width Calculation

This document discusses the design and crack width calculation of a water tank. It provides soil pressure, water pressure, and surcharge pressure values. It then calculates the required area of steel reinforcement on the soil and water sides of the tank. Lever arm, stress, and strain values are determined to calculate the average strain and crack width. The crack width is found to be less than 0.2mm. Pressure is also calculated at the toe and heel of the tank. Diagrams of the pressure distribution are provided.
