Qualities
Leadership: The most important part about being a leader is to know what to do and when to do it. I have been in
leadership roles since the days of high school and I continue to seek out these opportunities whenever I can.

Assertiveness: In order to be a good leader, one must be assertive. The ability to know how to speak, relate and
empathize with someone is a skill that can only be seen as a tremendous asset.

Introspectiveness: The ability to turn your thoughts within and communicate with yourself is nothing short of
necessary when interacting with people. Knowing your strengths, weaknesses and being able to problem solve
allows you to effectively communicate your ideas to students and colleagues.

Personable: It’s always important to be an approachable personality. To build trust, respect and loyalty within
relationships can only happen if you make it possible for those relationships to develop in the first place.

Skills
Software – I have been using various software for over ten years and I’m very well versed in the operations of
Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Publisher, Messenger, iPhoto, iMovie, iWeb, Thunderbird, VLC, Skype, Quicktime,
Lightroom, Garageband and many more. I’ve also familiarized myself with many browsers including Explorer,
Firefox, Safari, and Chrome.

Website Navigation – I’m currently familiar with a number of useful social networking websites and others
including Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Tumblr, Blogspot, Picnik, YouTube, MySpace, Stumble Upon, eBay, and
many more.

Music – I began playing music in high school (2001) and haven’t stopped playing since. I started playing
percussion in the basement of my house and gradually moved on to guitar and vocal in my years at university. I
also started writing songs around this time.

Photography - I have begun my fascination with photography. As an amateur/intermediate photographer, I have

learned my way around a camera and will continue to pursue this passion of mine for many years to come.

Writing – I actively pursue writing as a means of expression. While most of my entries have been rather informal,
I do enjoy the thrill of effectively piecing together an idea and putting it on paper.
