teachers the different roles and challenges
of parents, teachers and pupils in the said
policy. This allows them to determine these
roles and challenges and extend
understanding and provide assistance to the
learners at risk if being encountered. This
topic also utilizes teacher’s resiliency and
adeptness in interacting with the given
activity.
ACTIVITY The facilitator Bebiana P. Tan had
started the session with an opening prayer,
nationalistic song energizer and an opening
remark. The session was formally opened
with the SLAC Coordinator Master Teacher II
Mary Elsie A. Gavenia and immediately
followed with the session entitled “School
Child Protection Policy” facilitated by the
Master Teacher I Bebiana P. Tan
She divided the teachers into three
groups and provided three different
scenarios at the same time. She let the
teachers have a brainstorming and come up
for possible solutions to address the child’s
needs according to the crisis he/she is
experiencing. Later on, she processed all the
ideas given by the teachers and presented a
video clip regarding a child who is
experiencing physical abuse. She discussed
further various tips on how to prevent and
handle such situations.
