Selection Process
The selection process of B-schools, in both India and abroad, mostly consists of two steps:

Step I (Aptitude Test)

Almost every B-school conducts (or uses) a Written Test, which is typically an aptitude test. There are a number of MBA
entrance exams to get into your coveted management institute. However, for the most sought-after B-schools, the IIMs, CAT
(Common Admission Test) is the written test for selection.

Step II (GD/PI/WAT)
The shortlisted candidates from the written test round are called for a Group Discussion, Personal Interview, and Written
Ability Test (Essay) round. While most of the IIMs conduct only the PI and WAT, many other B-schools include GDs, along with
the PI and WAT rounds.

In addition to the above, some institutes like S P Jain conduct Group Interviews, while institutes like FMS and TAPMI have an
Extempore round too!

Admission Criteria of B-schools

While the selection process is only of two steps, the actual admission criteria involves the following six parameters:
