Comments:
1. Fluid velocity should not exceed the erosional velocity to avoid loss of pipe wall thickness due to erosion/corrosion.
2. Minimum fluid velocity should be about 10 ft/s (3 m/s) to minimize slugging of separation equipment and this is particularly important in long lines with elevation changes.
3. Empirical constant (C) value of 100 was considered for solids-free fluids under continuous service.
