What’s a demonstrative?
1. Demonstrative adjectives and pronouns.
We can use them with a noun to qualify the object we’re referring to, or
just as a Pronoun if we don’t want to repeat the noun in the same
sentence.

2. Near or far?
Examples:
Try to repeat this exercise every morning and evening. (The exercise that I’m
showing you right now).
What does this music make you think of? (The music that’s been played right now).
You can use any one of these computers. (the computers near us or in the room we
are in).
Examples:
Can I have some of that juice, please? (The juice I am pointing at that’s far from
me).
I’ve never been to that part of France. (A country that’s far away).
I need to paint those windows. (The windows far from where I stand).
3. Now or then?
Examples:
I’ll be with you some time this evening. (The evening that is coming today).
Johan seemed very happy this afternoon. (The afternoon that has just started)
We’ll wish we could come back to these days. (In the future, we will want to go back
to the days we are currently living).
Examples:
Do you remember that weekend at the pool party? (A weekend in the past)
Those were the days when I couldn’t stop thinking about you. (In a nostalgic way)
Those girls we met last night were gorgeous. (This is an event that happened in the
past).
Examples:
I didn’t know that, That’s amazing! (The information you’ve just given me).
These high-heels are killing me! (The high-heels I’m using now).
Those directions the guide gave us are useless. (Information we got in the past).
Examples:
Hey Charles, this is Brooke, the girl I was talking about the other day!
Look Natalie! This is Kenny the youtuber I was watching yesterday, he’s live now!

‘It's me Mario!’
