“Born and raised in OC, I was exposed “I joined VCH because it was a great way
to many people of different to get involved in health services as well
backgrounds and walks of life; my as my parents' Vietnamese culture and the
county is truly a special and plays an community surrounding it. I really enjoy
integral part of who I am today. how VCH is a casual club with simple, but
Allowing me to coexist and appreciate meaningful intentions and events to help
other cultures and seeing the beauty in the community. Some health-related clubs
the diversity of OC inclined me to join can be time-demanding and tiresome, but
VCH! VCH allowed me to serve my VCH is totally chill while still managing to
community even when I'm not organize big events like Health Fair where
physically present there. Being able to both the visitors and the volunteers gain a
close the gap of marginalized and lot from the experience. My favorite part
vulnerable communities of health of health sites would have to be speaking
inequities by providing free services to my broken Vietnamese to elderly people
my people truly made me feel like I was and getting a few chuckles out of them
doing a huge service. VCH is a program after I spend about 5 seconds trying to
that I definitely see myself more remember how to say "shoes."” - Vincent
