The School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) fosters a solid connection between parents
and teachers in support of student development and is a crucial feature of every educational
institution. Highlighting the successes and effects of a recent SPTA meeting held in Novele National
High School is the goal of this accomplishment report.
PART I: SCHOOL PARENT-TEACHER ASSOCIATION (SPTA) GENERAL ASSEMBLY
I. Attendance and Participation:
Parents, teachers, and other stakeholders showed up in large numbers to the PTA meeting
at the School on December 09, 2022, which was a phenomenal turnout. The high level of
involvement showed that all stakeholders were actively and sincerely interested in
building a collaborative learning environment.
II. Preliminaries: The Singing of the national Anthem and Prayer were played via AVP

III. Agenda Items Discussed:

During the meeting, the PTA addressed several key agenda items, focusing on matters of
common interest and relevance. The items included:
A. Review of Previous PTA Meeting Minutes: The minutes from the previous PTA meeting
were reviewed, ensuring transparency and accurate record-keeping by the Secretary of the
SPTA.
B. State of the School Address (SOSA)
a. Financial Report: The school's financial report for the preceding academic year was
presented, offering transparency and accountability to parents regarding the utilization of
funds.
b. Allocation of Funds: The allocation of funds for school projects, such as facility
improvements and educational resources, was discussed and approved.

IV. School Updates:

A. Principal's Report: The school principal shared updates on academic achievements, student
activities, upcoming events, and improvements made to facilitate the learning environment.
B. Teacher Feedback: PTA members had the opportunity to provide feedback on teaching
methodologies, curriculum, and general concerns, enabling better collaboration between
parents and teachers.
V. Other Matters
A. School Uniform: It was agreed that students must wear the school’s uniform as it:
 makes students trained to dress smart and feel pride in their appearance from
the very early life

 It brings uniformity and equality among students

 It develops belongingness in their mind from a particular school
 It makes them safe from the crime
 It develops a learning atmosphere among students
 It teaches discipline among students
 It prepares students to get ready quick and faster for school
 It improves punctuality among students that improve attendance
It was further explained by one of the parents that, a proper school uniform helps both students as well
as parents to overcome peer pressure. If the school allows students to wear the dress they like, every
student will be busy to compare each- others’ dresses and not learning performances.   It will distract
students from study and disturb the learning environment of the school. It will also create pressure in

parents from students’ demand to buy a particular dress. Moreover, school uniform reduces the
competition and peer pressure concerning fashioned dresses especially for teenage students.

B. Project JOHNSON: Head Teacher II, Sir Johnson Monforte, explained that the
project’s objective is to improve the health of our students by providing palatable and
nutritious foods while enhancing their nutrition education. With this, the school
ensures to provide attractive, well-prepared foods of high nutritional value. It was
then stated that since the garden’s amount of money gained from its harvest is not
sufficient to support the program’s continuity, the rice field’s income will be added to
the source of fund.

VI. Agreed Action Steps:

To ensure tangible outcomes, the PTA meeting concluded with agreed action steps to be
undertaken by school administrators, teachers, and parents. These included:
A. Establishing regular communication channels between the PTA and the school administration,
fostering open dialogue and feedback.
B. Collaborating with teachers to develop creative and innovative learning approaches or
initiatives to enhance student engagement.
Conclusion:
The PTA meeting in the School was highly productive, with parents, teachers, and school
administrators actively participating and collaborating. The discussions resulted in concrete action
steps and initiatives that will enhance the educational experience and support student success. The
PTA stands committed to its mission of promoting strong partnerships and continuing to work
towards the betterment of the entire school community.
