Activity:
With the agenda of updating changes and improvement in lesson planning, LAC
Sessions were conducted by respective departments at PNHS.
To begin with, the session started with a short prayer led by Sir Ervin Manalang,
followed by checking of attendance.
Later on, MAPEH Coordinator, Ma’am Glenda P. Lingad, discussed the following
that needed to be changed and considered in making a daily lesson plan or daily lesson log: It
should be planned based on the provided most essential learning competencies per lesson in
each component. The MELC should also be unpacked for more specific and detailed
objectives. The flow of the lesson should follow the 4As (Abstract, Activity, application, and
Assessment). And last but not least, there should be a remediation or additional activity
provided at the end of the lesson.
Insights:
Lesson Planning is definitely one of the toughest tasks that a teacher can undertake.
This is a thought that came to mind after finishing the LAC session.
Good lessons must be planned. Planning helps to make your lessons clear and well-
timed, meaning that students can be active and interested. Effective planning also includes
some built-in flexibility so that teachers can respond to what they find out about their
students’ learning as they teach. Working on a plan for a series of lessons involves knowing
the students and their prior learning, what it means to progress through the curriculum, and
finding the best resources and activities to help students learn.

Title: SLAC on Identifying Most and Least Learned Competencies and Formulating
Intervention/Remediation Program based on the Identified Learning Gap.
Activity:
Insights:
The goal of both remediation and intervention is to help students make progress
towards grade-level standards. Remediation is usually completed shortly after
instruction for a particular skill or concept is completed. Teachers may reteach the
information from the original lesson in a different way to clarify student misconceptions.
Intervention typically involves a more structured and formalized process that targets specific
skills students have not mastered, which have created gaps in the
students’ learning. Teachers provide additional instruction for students and measure their
progress, often using a progress monitoring tool. Once the need for remediation and
intervention has been identified, it’s important to consider what instructional strategies and
materials could be used to support the student.

COLLEGIAL DISCUSSION
Teacher Personal Note
Activity:
The meeting started with a prayer led by Ms. Lyra Gaces, followed by the attendance.
The meeting was attended by the SPA and SPS teachers to talk about and prepare for the
upcoming SPS/SPA Marketing within the vicinity of Dinalupihan. (SPA and SPS Marketing
in Various Schools in Dinalupihan is done yearly for all interested and qualified incoming 7th
graders)
Insights:
Children are at their most curious and creative when they are in school. The way they
are at this stage, they can be molded for the better or even for the worse. The importance of
skill enhancement for students was realized when competition increased for higher education
and also for job sectors. The recognition of abilities, qualities, and skills in the school
curriculum is a huge achievement for the students who are weak or say they have difficulty
understanding concepts. These students can make use of these skills; in fact, some even
recognize their hidden talents due to these skills, thereby making them big when they grow
up.
