III. Aerophone: Aero means (air), phone means (sound). Instruments under this
group produce sound as air is blown into them.
IV. Membranophone: Membrane means (skin), phone means (sound). These
instruments are made of animal skin and they produce sound by vibration of the stretched
membrane.
