    1. There are 21 questions in all. All questions are compulsory.
    2. This question paper has five sections: Section A, Section B, Section C and Section D. All the sections are
    compulsory.
    3. Section A contains eleven MCQ of 1 mark each, Section B contains five questions of two marks each, Section C
    contains three questions of three marks each, and section D contains two long questions of five marks each.

    19. Communication satellites move in orbits of radius 44,400 km around the earth. Find the 3
    acceleration of such a satellite, assuming that the only force acting on it is that due to the earth.

    20. Describe the main irrigation system that are adopted in India. 5

    21. Q.(a) Give one point of difference between an atom and an ion. 5
    (b) Give one example each of a polyatomic cation and an anion.

    (c) Identify the correct chemical name of FeSO3: Ferrous sulphate, Ferrous sulphide, Ferrous sulphite.

    (d) Write the chemical formula for the chloride of magnesium.

    (e) State law of constant proportion.
