SPED Students of THS

A.
In my observation of the SPED students, the first thing I noticed was that they
welcomed our arrival, and after a few minutes we caught them playing my classmates
joined their game they were very happy with their doing it, I noticed that their strength is
not normal, they don't care if someone is hurt, as long as they just play after the game,
we know the speds, Jm, who has autism, Charles, who is normal, but with learning
disability, Charles is normal but he can't keep up with his grade level because he has a
learning disability and juvan who has autism his autism always wants him to be right he
pats his head when he makes a mistake Rafael who has a learning disability johan who
has asd he likes music and he likes to sing and prince who has a heart attack and asd
and sofia who has cerebra palsy sofia can't control her bones but sofia can write and
talk basa and alyssa has autism I noticed she is the loudest of them all she knows all
the commercials in the shows as well as the advertisement on youtube I noticed she
gets bored quickly and Kaizel who is g7 she dropped the 3rd quarter because she has a
learning disability, she has difficulty with academics and she has a speech delay and
jewel has an earache, jewel can't hear that's why she uses a hearing aid and she knows
how to sign language while the princess knows how to write and know how to read but
have an orthopedic disability usually they are smart like Jewel, Kaizel, Charles and
Rafael But their case is with learning disability except for jewel and after introducing
them they eat because it turns out they have recess then after recess I interviewed
Charles who has a learning disability. I prepared some questions for Charles. My first
question was if he could write his name. I gave him my paper and ballpoint pen. He
knows how to write. He can write his name quickly and I proceeded I asked him basic
mathematics my question was 1+1 he answered it correctly and I proceeded my
question was what are his hobbies he said "play online games play basketball and
badminton " I proceeded with the question, I asked him what his favorite dish was, he
said "my favorite dish is Sinigang" I asked Charles if he knew how to cook sinigang, he
said "no, I can only cook it was the egg and other fried foods and I proceeded, I asked
him out of love if he wanted to study with someone else, he said no and I proceeded,I
asked Charles if he could count from 1-20 and he did it quickly then I asked him if he
could spell, I spelled it he has the words "red" "blue" and "yellow" he did it quicklyI
proceeded and asked Charles if he was comfortable talking to strangers, and he said,
"Nahihiya po ako sa taong di ko po kilala." I told him it's okay for him to be shy around
acquaintances because there might be bad intentions towards him. in my opinion
charles is not as bad as others with learning disabilities I can consider him capable
when it comes to academics but he still needs focus and practice in my observation, I
am very happy that I interviewed Charles because he can answer quickly and he is
different from other mutations and in my next interviewed I also asked Jewel has a
hearing disability A person who is not able to hear as well as someone with normal
hearing – hearing thresholds of 20 dB or better in both ears – is said to have hearing
loss. Hearing loss may be mild, moderate, severe or profound i asked jewel if she know
how to write her name, and I was surprised that Jewel knows how to write her name.
Jewel puts something in her ears called a hearing aid, and because of this, she can
hear comfortably. I asked Jewel if she knew how to write, and she did. I have her on my
paper, and she knows math as well. I also asked Jewel what her favorite food was, and
she said adobo. I also asked her if she knew how to cook. She said I didn't ask her how
old she is, but she looks like 13 years old because his face is so young then i asked
Jewel if she could count from 1-20 and she did it quickly then i proceed to next question
i asked jewel about her favourite food she said its "nilaga" and in my last interview
prince had a heart attack and autism according to my interview prince had a heart
attack last month and prince is a volunteer in the fire department in pembo even though
he has autism he still does what he wants I also asked him some questions that if he
can write, his hobbies, his favorite sports, and if he can spell, it's a bit difficult to answer,
but even he is still struggling with his dream of not being a loser. have a disability you
can't do what they can do. My classmates were amazed by him because she looks
normal. I would like to interview them, but there is not enough time. Our science subject
is over because we are going to recess. I am happy that I met and talked to the sped.
What I learned is that we should not make fun of them; we should pay attention
because they need more than normal people; they are not different. they have unique
talents that we should pay attention to. in my own observation they are extraordinary
strong that they can do the same as we do I used to think they were different from us
when they sped but when I noticed my perspective changed when I interviewed am very
thankful that I met them because I learned something from them that I could not learn
from others
