Types of Weather

This document describes three main types of climates: warm, temperate and cold. Warm climates are characterized by year-round high temperatures and little seasonal variation, and include equatorial, tropical, and arid subtropical climates. Temperate climates have average temperatures between 10-20°C, defined seasons and include Mediterranean, Chinese, oceanic and continental climates. Cold climates have annual temperatures less than 10°C due to low altitude

TYPES OF WEATHER

1. Warm:
Warm climates are characterized by exceeding 20° C in annual
temperature and in these there is no well-marked seasonal
variation. In warm climates, grasslands, savannahs and jungles
abound.

Equatorial : It is typical of the equatorial zone in which the

sun's rays fall perpendicularly, causing high temperatures
throughout the year. The air is humid and warm and
precipitation predominates. Abundant vegetation and dense
jungles proliferate in them.

Tropical: they are located north and south of the equatorial

zones, up to the tropics. Rains are abundant in summer,
encouraging the formation of savannahs. Furthermore, its flora
and fauna is very varied.

Arid subtropical: in these there is little rain and therefore the

vegetation is also little. They are characterized by having a
large thermal amplitude. This type of climate is found in the
Southwest of North America, north and southwest Africa,
central Australia, the central and southern coast of Peru,
northern Chile and the Middle East.

2. Tempered:
Its average annual temperature is between 10 and 20° C and
rainfall is average. Unlike tropical areas, there is an annual
variation in temperature, so each season is well defined.

Mediterranean : It is typical not only of the Mediterranean area

but also of southwestern Australia, California, or southwestern
South Africa and central Chile. The summers are dry, sunny
and warm and the winters are rainy.

Chino: The vegetation is abundant thanks to the constant

rainfall and combines temperate and tropical species.
Sometimes there are tropical cyclones and, in winter, frost.
Oceanic: characteristic of coastal areas, where rain and clouds abound. Temperatures are usually uniform,
their changes take time to occur, so there are no very cold winters or very hot summers.

Continental: present in the interior of the continent,

unlike the oceanic continent, the continent heats up
and cools faster, so the summers are very hot and the
winters very cold.

3. Cold:
Its annual temperature does not exceed 10°C, due to
the low height of the sun on the horizon. There are
cases in which the night can last up to six months.

Polar: typical of the polar circles, the temperature

never exceeds 10°C, the vegetation is very scarce
due to the presence of ice, there are usually mosses,
herbaceous plants and lichens.

High mountains: precipitation increases and

temperature decreases as the altitude increases. This
climate is similar to the polar one due to its low rainfall
and temperatures. The latitude, altitude, winds and
the position in which the sun's rays fall determine the
vegetation of the place.

CAUSES OF MIGRATION
the main reason why Guatemalans emigrate. "The country does not offer the working or economic
conditions that encourage the integral development of these people", "In Guatemala, emigration is not an
option or an exercise of freedom, but, usually, it is a survival strategy in the face of few working conditions
and development of the country",

CAUSES OF IMMIGRATION
Immigration in Guatemala refers to the flow of immigrants to that Central American nation since the
founding of the Republic of Guatemala on March 21, 1847. Originally, immigration was mostly Spanish and
English, as few ventured into the territory due to its insecurity due to the constant wars between Guatemala
and its neighbors, mainly El Salvador , Honduras and the State of Los Altos . The English, who settled in
British Honduras - later called Belize - and from there began an aggressive marketing and smuggling
program with Guatemala and the rest of the Isthmus.

CAUSES OF BIRTH
This variable gives the average annual number of births during a year per 1000 inhabitants, also known as
the crude birth rate. The birth rate is usually the decisive factor in determining the population growth rate,
depending on both the level of %fertility (of the age structure of the population

CAUSES OF MORTALITY
In Guatemala, the appreciable drop in mortality has taken place without a strong change in its age
composition. In fact, the mortality rate fell from 22 per thousand in the five-year period 1950-1955 to 9 per
thousand in the five-year period 1985-1990. The mortality of women has decreased more rapidly than that
of men, especially in adulthood. . In this way, the sex composition of deaths is clearly unfavorable to men,
especially between 20 and 59 years of age.
