ABBREVIATIONS

MR - magic ring
ch - chain
sc - single
dc - double crochet
inc - increase
dec - decrease
sl st - slip stitch
()*n - repeat the combination in parentheses n times
Bobble stitch - work 3dc with the same top into one stitch.

How to crochet bobble stitch, formed of 3dc. Make yarn over and
insert your hook into in the desired stitch (or in space). Grab the working
yarn and pull it. Then again grab yarn and pull it through first two loops
on the hook. We made an incomplete double crochet stitch. Now, there are
2 loops on your hook. This operation is repeated three times. As a result,
you should have 4 loops on your hook. Grab working yarn and pull through
all 4 loops on your hook. We made one Bobble Stitch done!
The doll’s body is crocheted in a spiral without making a turning chain
(until otherwise stated).

The finished doll measures about 26cm (10.2 inches) in case of using the
materials listed.
If You are going to use other yarn or other crochet hook size, then the doll
size will be different.
My stitches have a semi-X shape (I do yarn under, then yarn over when
crocheting sc stitches). If your stitches have a V-shape (if you do yarn
over both times when crocheting sc stitches), then Your doll will be bigger.
Pay attention, that this pattern doesn’t include any crochet lessons,
difficulty level: upper intermediate.

The yarn listed in the materials list can be substituted with any yarn with
similar weight (number 2 in the Standard Yarn Weight System).
Arms

We crochet the doll starting from bottom to the top. The body is
crocheted as one piece. The arms are made separately and we will
sew them then. The arms don’t need to be stuffed.

Crochet the arms in skin color in a spiral. Make two pieces.

1 round: 6sc in MR (6)
2 round: 6inc (12)
3-4 rounds: 12sc (12) - 2 rounds
5 round: bobble stitch, 11sc (12)
6 round: dec, 4sc, dec, 4sc (10)
7 round: dec, 8sc (9)
8-33 rounds: 9sc (9) - 26 rounds

Fold the piece in half and work several sc needed to shift the thumb
exactly to the hand side, if we fold the piece in half (for the right and
for the left arm). Cut the thread, leaving a tail for sewing, fasten off.

Prepare two pieces of wire for arms, the length is about 18cm. Bend
one of the piece ends like in the photo and wrap with adhesive tape.
Legs
THE FIRST LEG (THE LEFT LEG FOR DOLL )

Crochet the sole in brown color.

1 round: make ch7. From the second ch from
the hook: inc, 4sc, 4sc into one ch, along the
other side of the chain 4sc, inc (into the same
ch, where we worked the first increase) (16)
2 round: 2inc, 4sc, 4inc, 4sc, 2inc (24)
3 round: (1sc, inc)*2, 4sc, (inc, 1sc)*4, 4sc,
(1sc, inc)*2 (32)
Cut two insoles from thick cardboard or from
plastic sheet with the same size as the piece
we have got.
4 round: into back loops only 32sc (32)

Change color to light brown. Cut the thread of

dark brown color.
5-7 rounds: 32sc (32) - 3 rounds

Insert the insoles we have cut from cardboard

inside.
Make sure that the marker is located exactly in
the middle of the leg (see the photo on the
page side).

8 round: (3sc, dec)*2, (1sc, dec)*4, (3sc, dec)*2 (24)

9 round: (2sc, dec)*2, 4dec, (2sc, dec)*2 (16)
Start stuffing and add the fiberfill gradually. Pay special attention to
the toes area.
10 round: into back loops 7sc, into both loops 2sc, into back loops of
stitches 7sc (16)
11 round: 16sc (16)
Prepare two pieces of copper wire for two
legs. The length should be about 25cm,
because his piece should be enough for the
entire height of the doll. Bend one end of the
wire piece and wind it with duct tape.

12 round: crochet into back loops of stitches,

change color to grey when working the first
stitch in the round (make sure that the color
changing line is located exactly in the middle of
the back side on the leg): 6sc, dec, 6sc, dec
(14)

Cut the thread of light brown color.

13-16 rounds: 14sc (14) - 4 rounds
Insert the wire into the leg and continue
crocheting.

Increases in the next two rounds are located

exactly in the middle of the piece (on the back
side in round 17 and on the front side in
round 18).
17 round: inc, 13sc (15)
18 round: 9sc, inc, 5sc (16)
Change color to light blue for the first leg (to pink color for the second leg).
Cut the thread of grey color.
19-20 rounds: 16sc (16) - 2 rounds

Stuff the leg. Change to skin color. Cut the thread of light blue/pink color.
21 round: crochet into back loops only 16sc (16)
22-29 rounds: into both loops of stitches 16sc (16) - 8 rounds
30 round: inc, 15sc (17)
31-35 rounds: 17sc (17) - 5 rounds

36 round: increase in this round should be located exactly in the middle of

the back side on the leg, therefore crochet 2sc (or any other amount
needed to make the increase to be located at the necessary point), inc,
14sc (or other amount till the end of the round) (18)
37-38 rounds: 18sc (18) - 2 rounds

Change color to grey jeans and crochet one round around the leg. Cut the
thread of skin color.
39 round: 18sc (18)

Finish this round exactly in the middle of the leg side. At this point we will
join the leg with the second one. Cut the thread.
Now crochet one round across the
boot edge.
Take the leg, find the 10th round of
the boot, where we crocheted into
back loops. Mark two central
stitches at the front side of the boot
in this round. We crocheted them
into both loops of stitches.

Attach the thread of light brown color

to the third loop and crochet, holding
the leg with the boot facing upwards:

ch2, 1dc into the same stitch, where

we have attached the thread, 13dc,
make ch2 and join the chain with
slip stitch into the stitch, where we
crocheted the last dc. Cut the thread
and weave in the thread tail inside of
the leg using a needle.
For the second leg (the right leg for the doll) change color to pink/light
blue after finishing round 18.

Crochet according to the same pattern, as the first leg. But add one
more round of grey jeans color (it means that this leg should be one
round longer). We do it to make the legs to have the same length,
because the right edge will be higher than the left one.

Don’t cut the thread, we will continue crocheting.

Body

Now we will join the legs and crochet

the body of our witch. Stuff as you go.
Pay attention that the leg with the light
blue stripe should be located on the
right side (the left leg for the doll).

1 round. Crochet about a half of the

round more on the second leg to finish
crocheting exactly in the middle of the
inner side, where it will be joined with
the first leg (I crocheted 8sc). Make
ch3, insert

the crochet hook into the first stitch on the first leg, crochet 18sc across
the first leg, then 3sc along the chain, then crochet 9sc across the
second leg and place marker. It should be located exactly in the middle
of the outer side on the second leg. Now we should have gotten 42
stitches around two pieces.
2 round: inc, 7sc, 2inc, 1sc, 2inc, 7sc, inc, 8sc, 2inc, 1sc, 2inc, 8sc (52)
3 round: 5sc, inc, 15sc, inc, 30sc (54) - in this round increases should
be located on the back side and should be slightly shifted to the outer
side of the legs.
4 round: 54sc (54)
5 round: 8sc, inc, 11sc, inc, 33sc (56) - increases are located on the
back side on the same line with the middle point of the legs.
6-12 rounds: 56sc (56) - 7 rounds

Stuff very firmly. Pay special attention to the area where the legs are
joined (where we began to crochet panties). Spread the fabric. Take
two pieces of wire, that were inserted into the legs, bend them towards
each other and twist the wire ends around each other several times.

13 round: dec (in the middle of the body side), 26sc, dec, 26sc (54)
14 round: 7sc, dec, 11sc, dec, 32sc (52)
15 round: 8sc, dec, 6sc, dec, 34sc (50)

The areas marked with the black arrows should be stuffed firmly
Change color to white and crochet
into back loops of stitches. The
thread of grey jeans color can be
cut.
16 round: 50sc (50)
Then continue crocheting into both
loops of stitches.
17 round: 50sc (50)
18 round: (dec, 23sc)*2 (48) -
decreases are located exactly at the
body sides
19 round: 48sc (48)
20 round: 11sc, dec, 22sc, dec, 11sc
(46)
21 round: 46sc (46)
22 round: (dec, 21sc)*2 (44)
23 round: 10sc, dec, 10sc, dec, 20sc
(42)
24 round: (19sc, dec)*2 (40)
Continue stuffing the body and stuff firmer the bottom area,
forming the necessary shape.

25 round: 9sc, dec, 18sc, dec, 9sc (38)

26 round: (dec, 17sc)*2 (36)

In the next round make openings for

arms. Mark three stitches on each
side of the body (where the arms will
be located). Decide which location is
the best for the arms. In the next
round I give the instructions how to
crochet sleeves that fits my doll. The
distance between the arms across
the back side should equal 14
stitches, across the front side - 16
stitches.
27 round. Crochet 16sc till the point, where the first arm will be
located. Then make ch6, skip 3 stitches and crochet starting from the
4th stitch from the hook: 16sc, make ch6 and then skip 3 stitches
(crochet the last stitch of this round and then crochet two first
stitches of the new round (in round 28)), crochet one more sc and
place marker here.

28 round: 13sc across the back side, 6sc along the chain, 16sc
across the front side of the body, 6sc along the chain, 1sc (42)

Attach the arms. For this insert

both arms into the sleeves and fix
them with pins. Pay attention how
the arms are inserted into the
sleeves in the photo on the next
page. Sew the arms using the
thread of skin color, that was left
on the arms. Pay attention, where
the thumb is located.
Sew the inner side of the arms, leaving 1 round from the piece top.
Sew the outer side, inserting the needle into back loops of stitches on
the sleeves. Insert the wire we have prepared beforehand into the
arms. After the arms are sewn bend the wire ends from the arms
towards the pieces of wire that are sticking out from the legs and twist
all the pieces around each other.
Continue crocheting:

29 round: 42sc (42)

30 round: dec, 8sc, dec, 8sc, dec, 10sc,
dec, 8sc (38)
Stuff.
31 round: dec, 6sc, dec, 2sc, (dec,
1sc)*2, dec, 8sc, (dec, 1sc)*2, dec, 2sc
(30)
32 round: (3sc, dec)*6 (24)
Change the thread color to skin color.
Cut the white thread, leaving a long
thread tail outside, the length of this tail
should be about 1.5 meters (we will
crochet the collar using this thread).

33 round: crochet this round into back

loops only (2sc, dec)*6 (18)

Crochet the neck.

34-36 rounds: 18sc (18) - 3 rounds
Don’t cut the thread and continue
crocheting the head.
Head
Continue crocheting in skin color. The
next round will be counted as the first
one.
1 round: (2sc, inc)*6 (24)
2 round: (3sc, inc)*6 (30)
3 round: (2sc, inc, 2sc)*6 (36)
4 round: (5sc, inc)*6 (42)
5 round: (3sc, inc, 3sc)*6 (48)
6 round: (7sc, inc)*6 (54)
7 round: (4sc, inc, 4sc)*6 (60)
8-23 rounds: 60sc (60) - 16 rounds

Cut the excess length of the wire,

bend the wire ends and wrap with the
duct tape. The length of the wire
should equal about a half of the head.

Insert the safety eyes between rounds

13 and 14, the distance between the
points where the eye stems are
inserted is 11 stitches.

24 round: (4sc, dec, 4sc)*6 (54)

25 round: (7sc, dec)*6 (48)
26 round: (3sc, dec, 3sc)*6 (42)
27 round: (5sc, dec)*6 (36)

28 round: (2sc, dec, 2sc)*6 (30)

29 round: (3sc, dec)*6 (24)
30 round: (2sc, dec)*6 (18)
31 round: (1sc, dec)*6 (12)
32 round: 6dec (6)

Finish crocheting, cut the thread.

Close the opening using a needle,
pulling the thread through front loops
of six stitches left, pull. Weave in the
thread tail inside of the head.

Face details
NEEDLE SCULPTING
For needle sculpting use the thread
of the same color, that was used for

the body. Thread the needle and
insert it into the back side of the head 3 4
at its lower part. Pull the thread from
point 1, leaving a thread tail at the

back side. Leave 1 stitch to the left
from point 1 and reinsert the needle.
Pull the thread from 2 and reinsert,
leaving also
1 stitch to the left. Pull the needle
from point 3, leave also 1 stitch to
the right, reinsert the needle and
pull it out from point 4. Insert the
needle, leaving 1 stitch to the left
and pull the thread through the
head. Pull the needle, leaving one
stitch from the point where we have
started on the back side. Pull the
thread tails carefully to make the
eyes to be slightly sunk inside of the
fabric.

Tie a knot and weave in the thread tails inside of the head using a
needle.

EYES AND NOSE DETAILS

In the next page you can find the photos that show how to make face
details.
Embroider the nose with the thread of skin color: make several horizontal
stitches between rounds 12 and 13. The width of the nose is 3 stitches.
Make several stitches around the outer side of the eyes with the white
thread imitating the eye whites.
Now take the black thread twice folded and embroider the upper lid, the
eyelashes and the lower lid. Pay attention, that the upper stripe should be
wider than the lower one.

Take the thread of cocoa color and

embroider the eyebrows. The outer point of
the eyebrows is located between rounds 18
and 19, the inner point - between 19 and 20.
The length of one eyebrow is 4 stitches.
Embroider each eyebrow with two stitches.
Necktie and collar
At first embroider the necktie. We will use the threads of glue and white
colors. Take the thread of blue color and thread a needle. Insert the
needle into the middle point on the body under the last round of white
color (under the font loops of round 32). Count two rounds down and two
stitches to the left side and reinsert the needle, making the first stitch. Pull
the thread out, leaving 4 stitches to the right side, then return the needle
to the initial point. We have made two stitches. Make two symmetrical
stitches lower, forming a rhombus. Now make diagonal stitches, filling
the space inside of the rhombus. I do it, inserting the needle under the
stitches of the rhombus only, without inserting it into the T-shirt stitches.
Don’t pull too tightly, otherwise the sides of the rhombus will be distorted.
Them pull the thread out from the lowest point of the rhombus.
Make a stitch, counting 5 rounds down and 2 stitches to the left side. Pull
the needle out, skipping 4 stitches to the right side and make the second
stitch symmetrically to the first one. Then run the needle under the top
rhombus to make the tie boundaries wider.

Then embroider two lower stitches and fill the space inside of the tie with
diagonal stitches. Embroider these stitches carefully in the same way, like
we filled the upper rhombus. Embroider several stitches diagonally from
the left side to the right, then from the right side to the left. Make several
stitches across the contour if needed to make the tie edges smooth.
Take the yarn of white color to embroider the white stripes on the necktie,
divide the thread into separate strands. Embroider the diagonal stripes
using the thread twice folded.
I embroidered the stripes in the way that some of them are wider and
others are thinner.

Now we will make the collar. Pull the thread of white color left after we
finished the body outside at the right side from the tie (the round, where
we crocheted into back loops). Now turn the doll upside down and hold it
in this way when crocheting the collar. Make ch3 and crochet into free
front loops of stitches: dc into each stitch until we get to the last stitch
before the collar. Don’t crochet dc into the last stitch, make ch3 and join
with the last stitch with sl st.

Fasten off the thread, weave in the thread tail inside of the piece, cut the
excess length.
Take a look, what a charming girl we
have got! Let’s make a gorgeous
hairstyle for her!

Hair
Crochet with the yarn of cream color in a spiral. At first we need to
crochet the wig, then we will crochet the hair strands on it. All
rounds of the wig are crocheted into back loops only.

1 round: 6sc in MR (6)

2 round: 6inc (12)
3 round: (1sc, inc)*6 (18)
4 round: (2sc, inc)*6 (24)
5 round: (3sc, inc)*6 (30)
6 round: (4sc, inc)*6 (36)
7 round: (5sc, inc)*6 (42)
8 round: (6sc, inc)*6 (48)
9 round: (7sc, inc)*6 (54)
10 round: (8sc, inc)*6 (60)
11 round: (9sc, inc)*6 (66)
12-15 rounds: 66sc (66) - 4 rounds

Try the wig on the doll’s head. Place the wig in the way that the
marker is located exactly in the middle of the back side.
Now we will crochet separate hair strands.
For hair strands use a crochet hook which is
0.5mm larger. Cut the thread, leaving a long
thread tail for sewing.

Now attach the thread to the beginning of

the second round on the wig and make
ch61, then crochet 60sc along the chain and
join the hair strand with the next stitch of the
second round with sl st (into front loop).
Make one more slip stitch into front loop of
the next stitch and make ch61 again.
Crochet 60sc along the chain and make sl st
into the next stitch of the round, then work
one more sl st into front loop of the stitch and
make ch61 again.

In the next video I show how to crochet the hair strands for the
doll

This way we continue crocheting the hair strands in rounds. Work in a

spiral along each round at first.
Work 5 rounds in this way. Then skip
one round, moving to another one
and working sl st. And continue
crocheting the hair strands, leaving
one round between them. Crochet
three rounds more. Now we have 5
rounds without hair. Cut the thread
and fasten off. I didn’t crochet the hair
around these rest rounds, because
the hairstyle became too voluminous.
We should have gotten the wig like
this, that is shown in the photo on the
page side.

My hair strands curled very much,

therefore I steamed them through the
wet fabric using an iron. To steam
and to straighten the curls, take
several hair strands and spread them
on the fabric with your fingers. Steam
several hair strands at one time, then
take some more and steam them too.

Now try the wig on the doll’s head

and fix it with pins. The upper edge of
the wig should be located between
rounds 28 and 29 on the head (count
from the neck), the lower edge on
the back side - between rounds 10
and 11 on the head (count from the
neck as well).
Sew the wig base to the head. When sewing to the head insert the needle
into the head stitch and into both loops of stitches in the last round on the
wig. Weave in the thread tail inside. In the photo the doll is already wearing
the cardigan, but we will make it later.
Now separate the hair strands of
the last round and fix them on the
last round of the wig, lay them on
the head like in the photos. Fix each
hair strand of the last round. Take
the thread of cream color and take
a needle, sew each hair strand,
fixing them with a pair of stitches at
the last round of the wig.
Ears
Now make ears and sew them to the doll’s head. Crochet with the thread of
skin color.

The right ear:

Form a MR and crochet into it: ch3, now crochet all stitches into the magic
ring: 2dc, 2hdc, 2sc, pull the ring closed, cut the thread, leaving a tail for
sewing.

The left ear:

Crochet the second ear in the way that it was mirrored: 2sc in MR, 2hdc in
MR, 2dc in MR, ch3, join into MR with sl st, pull the ring closed, cut the
thread, leaving a tail for sewing.

Fix the ear on the head, leaving 7 stitches from the eyes. Sew. Weave
in the thread tail inside of the head.
Skirt
Crochet in blue color. Attach the thread to the back side of the doll’s
body to the front loop of round 16 and crochet into free front loops,
holding the doll with the head facing down.

1 round: (9sc, inc)*5 (55)

2-5 rounds: 55sc (55) - 4 rounds
6 round: (10sc, inc)*5 (60)
7-11 rounds: 60sc (60) - 5 rounds
12 round: (11sc, inc)*5 (65)
13-17 rounds: 65sc (65) - 5 rounds
18 round: (12sc, inc)*5 (70)

If your skirt seams to be short, then you can crochet 2-3 rounds more,
with 70sc in each round. After we finished crocheting cut the thread and
fasten off. Weave in the thread tail on the wrong side of the skirt.
Cardigan
Crochet the cardigan in lilac color in turning rows. The piece is crocheted
from top to bottom. Make a turning ch at the end of every row and turn
the work. Use 2.5mm crochet hook. The cardigan should be necessarily
tried on the doll as you crochet! Remember that the size can differ
because of different crochet density.

1 row: ch19, from the second ch from the hook: 18sc, ch, turn (18)
2 row: into back loops only (inc, 1sc)*9, ch, turn (27)
3 row: into front loops only inc, 1sc, inc, 5sc, inc, 9sc, inc, 5sc, inc, 1sc,
inc, ch, turn (33)
4 row: into back loops only inc, 2sc, inc, 7sc, inc, 9sc, inc, 7sc, inc, 2sc,
inc, ch, turn (39)
5 row: into front loops only inc, 3sc, (inc, 4sc)*2, inc, 9sc, inc, (4sc,
inc)*2, 3sc, inc, ch, turn (47)
6 row: into back loops only inc, 4sc, inc, (11sc, inc)*3, 4sc, inc, ch, turn
(53)

In the next row we will form sleeves:

7 row: into front loops only inc, 7sc, make ch5,
skip 11 stitches, from the next stitch 15sc, make
ch5, skip 11 stitches, from the next stitch 7sc,
inc, ch, turn (43)
8 row: into back loops only inc, 7sc, inc, 5sc
along the chain, inc, 13sc, inc, 5sc
along the chain, inc, 7sc, inc, ch, turn (49)
9 row: into front loops only inc, 9sc, inc, 5sc, inc, 15sc, inc, 5sc, inc, 9sc,
inc, ch, turn (55)
10 row: into back loops only inc, 11sc, inc, 5sc, inc, 17sc, inc, 5sc, inc,
11sc, inc, ch, turn (61)
11 row: into front loops only 61sc, ch, turn (61)
12 row: into back loops only 61sc, ch, turn (61)
13 row: into front loops only 14sc, inc, 5sc, inc, 19sc, inc, 5sc, inc, 14sc,
ch, turn (65)
14 row: into back loops only 65sc, ch, turn (65)
15 row: into front loops only 15sc, inc, 5sc, inc, 21sc, inc, 5sc, inc, 15sc,
ch, turn (69)
16 row: into back loops only 69sc, ch, turn (69)

17 row: into front loops only 69sc, ch, turn (69)

18 row: into back loops only 69sc, ch, turn (69)
19 row: into front loops only 69sc, ch2, turn (69)
20 row: into back loops only 69dc (double crochet) (69)
Now crochet single crochet stitches across
the forepart edges and across the neckline.

SLEEVES

Attach the thread to the sleeve opening and

crochet into back loops in a spiral:
1-14 rounds: 16sc (16) - 14 rounds
15 round: make ch2 and crochet 16dc into
back loops only (16)

If your sleeve turned out to be too narrow,

then you can make it wider, working about
18 stitches around instead of 16.

Join in a circle with sl st and cut the thread.

Fasten off and weave in the thread tail on the
wrong side of the cardigan.

Crochet the second sleeve in the same way.

Steam the cardigan through the wet fabric
using an iron to straighten the cardigan
edges.

Now we need to sew the hook and eye

fasteners to both foreparts. Put the
cardigan on the doll and find the points
where the hooks will be attached. Mark them
with pins. Take the cardigan off and sew the
hooks, pay attention to their location. Pay
attention, that the hooks should be facing
inwards to the opposite direction from the
cardigan edge, and loops on the other
forepart should be facing to the fabric edge
(like in the photos below). The hooks are
located, leaving the round we have
crocheted across the edge and one more
row. You can skip two rounds more, so the
fasteners won’t be seen, when the cardigan
is put on. Loops on the other forepart are
located, leaving one round on the edge and
three rows more.
Glasses
For the glasses we will need a piece of wire and any elongated cylindrical
tool of the necessary diameter for forming a frame (I used glue stick with
the diameter of about 2.5cm). Form the frame shape.

Atfach the thread of bright blue color to the wire and crochet 11sc across
the temple of the glasses, 16sc across the semicircle, 3sc across the
bridge. Then turn the piece and crochet 2sl st into the bodies of the stitches
in the opposite direction, returning to the circle, crochet 25sc across the
semicircle. Join the circle with sl st. A part on the temple end should stay
without yarn. Pay attention, that your amount of stitches can be different,
because your frame size can differ from mine.
Now we need to crochet three protruding elements on the circle,
where we have crocheted. Pay attention, that the shortest element
should be located on the top. Make ch6, work along the chain: 5sc,
skip one stitch in the round and crochet sl st into front loop of the next
stitch (the temple ends are facing towards us), then work one more sl
st into front loop of the next stitch, make ch6 again. Crochet the next
element in the same way. And crochet one more protruding element,
but make ch5. Fasten off with sl st and cut the thread.

Then take the pink thread and crochet the other part of the glasses in
the same way. Pay attention, that the protruding elements should be
symmetrical. Work several slip stitches around if needed before starting
to crochet the pink protruding elements.
When joining these elements with the round frame also skip one stitch
and crochet slip stitch into the next stitch.

Finish the work, fasten off the thread tail at the semicircle, weave in the
tails. Glue the threads on the temples using Moment glue to prevent
them moving from the temple frame. The wire ends should stay without
wrapping. But you can wrap them with adhesive tape if you want.

The glasses are ready!

Lion hat
Crochet with the yarn of gold color in rounds.

1 round: 6sc in MR (6)

2 round: 6inc (12)
3 round: (1sc, inc)*6 (18)
4 round: (2sc, inc)*6 (24)
5 round: (3sc, inc)*6 (30)
6 round: (2sc, inc, 2sc)*6 (36)
7 round: (5sc, inc)*6 (42)
8 round: (3sc, inc, 3sc)*6 (48)
9 round: (7sc, inc)*6 (54)
10 round: (4sc, inc, 4sc)*6 (60)
11 round: (9sc, inc)*6 (66)
12 round: (5sc, inc, 5sc)*6 (72)
13-19 rounds: 72sc (72) - 7 rounds
20 round: (inc, 11sc)*6 (78)
21 round: (6sc, inc, 6sc)*6 (84)
22-25 rounds: 84sc (84) - 4 rounds

Start crocheting the straps in turning

rows. Turn the piece at the end of
every row and make a turning chain.
Start the numeration from the
beginning for the straps.

1-6 rows: 7sc, ch, turn (7) - 6 rows

7 row: dec, 3sc, dec, ch, turn (5)
8-13 rows: 5sc, ch, turn (5) - 6 rows
14 row: dec, 1sc, dec, ch, turn (3)
15-20 rows: 3sc, ch, turn (3) - 6 rows
21 row: triple decrease (crochet three stitches together) (1)
Now starting with this stitch make ch33 and crochet 32sc along the
chain. Join the chain with the strap with sl st. Cut the thread and weave in
the thread tail on the wrong side of the hat.

Now decide where the second strap will be located. Put the hat on the
doll’s head and decide where the second strap should be located. The
distance between the straps on my hat across the front part is 38
stitches.

Attach the thread and crochet the second strap in the same way as the
first one.

MUZZLE
Crochet in gold color.
1 round: make ch6, from the 2-nd ch
from the hook inc, 3sc, 4sc into the
last stitch, along the other side of the
chain 3sc, inc (into the same stitch,
where we crocheted the first
increase) (14)
Place marker.
2 round: 2inc, 3sc, 4inc, 3sc, 2inc (22)
3 round: (1sc, inc)*2, 3sc, (inc, 1sc)*2, (1sc, inc)*2, 3sc, (inc, 1sc)*2
(30)
4-5 rounds: 30sc (30) - 2 rounds
Finish crocheting with sl st, cut the thread, leaving a long thread tail for
sewing.

Embroider the nose. Take a thread of dark brown color and embroider
the nose in the muzzle center between rounds 1 and 3. The width of
the top line is 6 stitches.

Now pull the thread under the nose and make a stitch around the lower
part of the muzzle, forming a vertical line, dividing the muzzle into two
parts. Pull the thread slightly and weave in the thread tail on the wrong
side of the muzzle.
EARS (2 pieces)
Crochet with the gold thread in a
spiral.
1 round: 6sc in MR (6)
2 round: 6inc (12)
3 round: (1sc, inc)*6 (18)
4 round: (2sc, inc)*6 (24)
5-8 rounds: 24sc (24) - 4 rounds

Finish crocheting with sl st, cut the thread, leaving a long thread tail
for sewing.

HAT ASSEMBLY

Fix the muzzle on the hat at the hat center between the cable on the
last round and the round 9 (count from the lower edge of the hat). Sew
the lower edge of the muzzle at first. Then add some fiberfill. Sew the
upper edge of the muzzle in the way that the cable on the last round
can be seen.
Fix the ears on the hat and pin them, counting 6 rounds from MR. The ear
should be located between rounds 6 and 15 from the MR approximately.
Sew each side of the ear.

Now make two eyes. Use the thread of black or graphite color. Work 6sc in
MR, join in a circle with sl st, cut the thread.

Fix the eyes with pins near the muzzle between rounds 6-10 approximately
(count from the hat bottom). Sew the eyes. Now take the thread of cream
color and make a pair of stitches around the eyes, imitating eye whites.
Then use the same thread to embroider the teeth under the muzzle. Fasten
off the thread and weave in the thread tail on the wrong side of the hat.
Now start attaching the mane. For
this prepare dark brown, light brown,
cream yarn and the yarn of cocoa
color. Cut the thread into pieces, the
length of one piece is about 11cm.

We will attach the yarn pieces,

alternating the colors. I attached in
this order: dark brown strand, light
brown strand, cocoa strand, dark
brown strand, light brown strand,
cocoa strand, and then cream
strand.
We will attach using the fringe technique. Start from the first round.
Insert the hook into MR and pull, leaving one round. Take a piece of
thread, fold in half and pull the thread with your crochet hook. Pull
forming a loop. Run both thread tails through the loop and pull it tightly.

Decide where the hairline will be located. My hairline is located, leaving 3

rounds from MR and about 3 rounds from the ears. In the photos it’s
marked with pins.

At first attach the hair around the first three rounds. When we came
across the hairline in the center, start attaching them along this line,
moving toward straps - here we attach the yarn to each round. Also
attach the hair strands around first six rounds on the hat. Then continue
attaching the mane across the back part of the head around, skipping
one round between.
Continue attaching along the back side of the hat, skipping one round,
until the mane covers the whole space on the hat fabric. You can leave
several lower rounds without mane, if the length seams to be enough.
Our mysterious Luna is finished! Thank
You for crocheting along with me!
