the meeting session.

Mr. Hanson Tei M-Gizo, the Assemblyman for the
Tatanaa North Electoral Area, was introduced to the
house. He informed the house that he intended to facilitate
the registration of students who had not yet been enrolled
in the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) in order
to ensure they receive the necessary health coverage.
5. Agenda 1. Welcome
The Headmaster warmly welcomed all members to the
meeting.
2. Academic Calendar
The Headmaster informed the house that the first semester
for Form 2 students would run from 8th March to 9th May
2024. He expressed concern that the current Form 2
students were at a disadvantage due to the limited time
they would spend in school. He advised parents to ensure
that students make productive use of their time during
vacation to make up for the shortened semester.
3. Discipline
The Headmaster stated that the school was doing its best
to maintain discipline. Unfortunately, a few recalcitrant
students tarnished the school's reputation in recent times.
He urged parents to collaborate with management in
enforcing discipline among students. Going forward, any
student who fails to comply with school rules will face
sanctions, and no excuses will be entertained.
4. Dining/Feeding
The Headmaster assured the house that students have been
enjoying quality meals at the dining hall. He warned that
any student who misrepresents the situation to the media
or makes false claims will face serious consequences. He
reminded parents not to generalize issues based on media
reports, as every school has its own challenges when it
comes to feeding. Some students deceive their parents by
claiming the meals are substandard, only to request extra
money. He cautioned students against making false claims
about the meals if they choose not to eat from the dining
hall.
5. Management of Students’ Pocket Money
The Headmaster advised parents to refrain from
depositing money at the school canteen for their children.
He suggested that any extra money intended for students
should be given to their housemasters instead. He
explained that when students have excessive money, they
tend to engage in negative activities, including gambling.
6. Vacation
The Headmaster clarified that once students vacate, the
school is not responsible for their safe travel home. While
the school prays for their safe arrival, it cannot be held
accountable for any incidents that may occur during their
journey home.
7. 2023 WASSCE Results
The Headmaster presented the 2023 WASSCE results,
which were as follows:

• English Language: 99% pass rate
• Core Mathematics: 94.7% pass rate
• Integrated Science: 98.8% pass rate

obtained 8As. The Headmaster encouraged all
stakeholders to work together to improve the school's
academic performance.
8. Official School Outfit

customized blazers and ties. He encouraged parents to
purchase these outfits for their children, as they boost
students' confidence. Interested parents were advised to
contact the school for assistance in acquiring these items.
9. Appreciation
The Headmaster expressed his gratitude to the PTA for
their ongoing support, noting that old students are also
contributing to various projects. However, he emphasized

but to fully engage in the school's progress and student
welfare.

develop a relationship with their sons' housemasters and
actively listen to their children's concerns. She advised

ensure that the students' well-being remains the top
priority for all parents.
