Personal Statement
To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Duong Ha Anh, a final year students of Business and Finance Program in University of
Lincoln. I am writing this letter to demonstrate my interest for the Marketing MSc course at University
of Westminster for September 2024 intake.
Academic background
In my degree and undergraduate program, there were core courses like the "Digital Business and
E-Commerce" series that helped me understand the basic concepts of visual literacy covering a wide
range of issues. Useful for creating and presenting digitally based works. I also enjoyed studying
"social media platforms", "Digital Synthesis" as it gave me comprehensive content on how to use
software applications to develop and launch projects, company to customers more easily. While
studying at Lincoln University, I actively signed up to participate in volunteering projects of The Brain
Tumor Charity Organization, which allowed me to control group discussions and carry out plans and I
tried develop teamwork negotiation skills, independent thinking and creative thinking. My beloved
grandfather left me because of cancer, so when I learned about this organization through
advertisements, I did not hesitate and signed up right away. In this project, I learned how to combine
design and multimedia images, with the position of content creator for websites, social media
platforms for the project. Not only did I gain useful skills for the future, but I also contributed to
helping patients with brain tumors.
Activities:
I used to be on the executive committee of the Federation of Economics Faculty, National Economics
University (Vietnam), and have experience managing multi-platform social networking sites and being
the content creator of those sites. I also joined the music and art club to practice musical instruments
after school and held the position of community manager after 2 months, responsible for most
activities, practice performances, and social exchanges. draft from 2020 to 2022. Participating in
student clubs and organizations has given me the opportunity to meet and solve everyday problems.
By doing various club projects, I enhanced my teamwork skills by communicating ideas with other
students from different programs, exchanging facts and opinions based on its research to complete and
improve process quality.
Motivation
I was fortunate to join Edutalk as an intern in September 2020. Since then, I have always wanted to
learn more about business and marketing and I decided to study abroad in a multicultural environment.
and face world-class challenges. During the process of researching courses, I learned about and was
impressed with the Master of Economics in Marketing through the website of University of
Westminster. I want to study at University of Westminster because of your excellent educational
system, one of London’s leading centres for professional business education, which ensures that the
highest standards of excellence in teaching, research, curriculum , and learner success is met., provides
opportunities for students to exploit communication technology and develop innovative creative
approaches in the field of Marketing. I researched and learned that: University of Westminster rooted
in the University’s 180-year history, the school is international facing and professional focused and
research engaged with the aim of developing the next generation of technically accomplished and
socially responsible leaders and I believe that this is a good place to start learning about Marketing.
While studying this unique course, I will seek to develop my sensitivity and understanding of
traditional as well as modern marketing (digital social media platforms) using industry standard
applications to creating an ambitious work with a high level of finish for the Main Project. I think my
time studying at University of Westminster was very interesting and an important step for me to
achieve my goal of becoming a good instructor when I return to Vietnam.
Future Career Plans
In the UK, the creative industries are a dynamic and growing part of the economy. It encompasses
many different fields and few fields have seen such explosive growth as the field of Interactive Media
and Marketing. Today, more and more international companies have a significant presence here in
search of world-class talent. I plan to get a master's degree in Marketing in the UK, with a high
potential program, and become a supervisor who can provide the best technical support as well as
aesthetic creativity to creative studios and organization of production. I will try to help my country
develop this industry and find new talents. I also intend to achieve my goal of becoming a lecturer
who can discover the potential of students and change their lives in school to better educate not only
about lectures but also about joy and passion study..
