1.6 Type of Exposure : SEVERE RCC
1.7 Minimum cement content (As Per MoRTH & Tech Spec Vol-5 Sec 2 cl-6.2.1.2.) : 400
1.8 Maximum W/C Ratio (As Per MoRTH & Tech Spec Vol-5 Sec 2 cl-6.2.1.2.) : 0.4
1.10 Sources of Materials -

b. GGBS : JSW
c. Micro Silica : Elkam
d. Admixture : Plasticizer (As per IS 9103)
e. Water (As per IS 456:2000) : Construction water
f. Coarse Aggregates : Dakiwali Quarry (VSI)
g. Fine Aggregates : Dakiwali Quarry (VSI)

2. TEST DATA FOR CONCRETE INGREDIENTS :-

2.1 Specific Gravity of Materials
a. Cement : 3.15
b. GGBS : 2.85
c. Micro Silica : 2.25
d. Admixture : 1.120
e. Fine Aggregate - Washed Sand : 2.67
- Crushed Sand : 2.69
f. Coarse Aggregates - 10mm : 2.79
- 20mm : 2.81
2.2 Water Absorption of Materials
a. Fine Aggregate - Washed Sand : 2.98
- Crushed Sand : 3.83
b. Coarse Aggregates - 10mm : 1.62
- 20mm : 1.49
c. Impact value of Coarse aggregate. : 14.60
d. Combind Flakiness & Elongation Index of Coarse aggregate. : 18.30

3.TRAGET STRENGTH FOR MIX PROPORTIONING

F' ck = traget average compressive strength at 28 days
Fck = characteristics compressive strength at 28 days
S= standard deviation (From MoRTH Table of 1700-5) : 13 N/mm²
Therefore, Traget strength : 45+13 = 58 Mpa
4. APPROXIMATE AIR CONTENT
Nominal Maximum Size of Aggregate : 20MM
Entrapped Air, as % of volume of concrete : 1

5. WATER CEMENT RATIO

Water cement ratio as per IS 456 is: - 0.40
Based on trial we are adopted water cement ratio is: - 0.25

6. WATER CONTENT
From Table 4, maximum water content for 20MM aggregate: - 186 (for 25 to 50 mm slump range)
The required water content may be increased or decreased by about 3% for each increased or decreased of 25mm slump
Estimated water content for slump: - 200mm 18 / 100 * 186 + 186 = 219.5 Litre
Based on trials with Super Plasticizer water content reduction of 29.3%
Hence, the arrived water content 200 mm 219.5 * 0.707 = 155 Kg

7. CALCULATION OF CEMENT CONTENT

Water-Cement ratio = 0.25
Cementitious material content 155 / 0.25 155/0.25 = 630 Kg/m3
Cement Content 46.03% = 290 Kg/m3
We are replacing GGBS 49.21% = 310 Kg/m3
We are replacing Micro Silica 4.76% = 30 Kg/m3

8. PROPORTION OF VOLUME OF COARSE AGGREGATE AND FINE AGGREGETE CONTENT

From Table 5, the proportionate volume of coarse aggregate 0.50 0.62
corresponding to 20 mm size aggregate and fine aggregate (Zone II)
for water-cement ratio of 0.5 = 0.62
(at the rate of 0.01 for every ± 0.05 change in water- cement ratio).
∴ corrected proportion of vol. of coarse agg. for the W/C ratio - 0.25 0.62 + 0.05 = 0.67
for pumpable concrete these value should be reduced upto 10%, 0.67 * 0.85 = 0.5701 say 0.57
Volume of fine aggregate 1 - 0.57 = 0.43

2. Adjustments to aggregate & water content shall be done based on the free moisture content in the aggregate. Admixture Dosage can be adjust at site as per
requirement for workability, depends upon the site environment conditions. But it should not be more than 2.00% in any case.

3. Coarse Aggregate & Fine Aggregate ratio can be adjusted according to its actual grading at the time of mix production, subjected to confirming the requirements of
