Introductory Message
For the facilitator:
As a facilitator, you are expected to orient the learners on how to
use this module. You also need to keep track of the learners' progress
while allowing them to manage their own learning at home.
Furthermore, you are expected to encourage and assist the learners as
they do the tasks included in the module.
For the learner:

As a learner, you must learn to become responsible of your own
learning. Take time to read, understand, and perform the different
activities in the module.
As you go through the different activities of this module be
reminded of the following:
1. Use the module with care. Do not put unnecessary mark/s on
any part of the module. Use a separate sheet of paper in
answering the exercises.
2. Don’t forget to answer Let Us Try before moving on to the other
activities.
3. Read the instructions carefully before doing each task.
4. Observe honesty and integrity in doing the tasks and checking
your answers.
5. Finish the task at hand before proceeding to the next.

Before we start, I would like to know how far you know about
Digital Poster Making . Specifically, it seeks to achieve the following:
1. Identify steps / procedures of how to make Digital/ poster.

2. Apply the art skills in Digital /Poster making using hardware and
software.

Have you ever wondered what you see in the ads that entice you to
read more and how they were made by the illustrator? Young children
nowadays tend to be amused looking at the ad or advertisement. This part of the
module is about creating your own digital advertisement poster
What is the difference between graphic designing and a poster?

A graphic designing is the art or skill of combining text and pictures in
advertisements, magazines, or books while Poster is a visual presentation of
information . What did you notice to the posters presented to you earlier ? Food
or beverage ?
The following are tips on designing your digital poster:
COLORS is very useful in making a poster. It should catch the eyes of the
onlookers. Use soft colors or white background and you can use also pastel for
your background. Be very careful in using colors.
CONTENTS should be clear and it include contact details. It includes the font
size. It should be readable from 2-3 meters away. Preferred font would be 24 point
–text. Example of fonts will be Arial, Verdana, Georgia or Helvetica
For Software
1. For laptops and desktops, you can use MS PowerPoint or MS word program.
Use A4 for the size and use a blank document. Use the gridlines and add text
boxes. Always put it in the center
Step one. Locate first from your desktop the icon on MS Powerpoint and it look
like this:

Then it will look like this
click the insert
Then select the shapes.
Select a shape you like for your announcement. You can also choose color ,
design and you can put also the text you wanted to place.Then clicked save. You
can send a photo of your finished poster.

For Hardware ( Pen and Paper)
1. You can use any available material you have like short or Long coupon bond
or a recycled materials. As long as you can make your own poster.

ACTIVITY 1
From the steps we discussed, try to create your own poster and follow the
steps. Let’s make House Rules .
For Pen and Paper

• Plan on a notebook first what your house rules will be. Then make some
arrangement of words and how to color or present it.
For Example :
1. Wake up every 6:30 a.m
2. Eat Breakfast by 7:00 a.m.
3. Help in household chores from 7:30-8:30 and so on and so forth.
For software
Plan on a notebook first what your house rules will be. Then make some
arrangement of words and how to color or present it.
* Use MS PowerPoint or MS Word Program
* Use A4 size for coupon size
* Use single slide or a blank document
* Set the margins to Normal
* Your set to encode or type your house rules.

For Example:
The first one is a digital announcement while the other is more on
pen and paper using A4 coupon .

Post it up!
Think of a simple for sale item in your house like a plant or second hand
item.
1. Make a simple commercial poster for your for sale item.
2. Remember to use MS PowerPoint or MS Word in making your
commercial poster.
3. When you use the PowerPoint use only one slide. While you use MS word
the A4 size for the paper.
4. You can design your commercial poster using the insert shapes and
pictures. Then color it up.

Poster is a visual presentation of information .

In making the poster we need to consider the color and contents. The lesser
count of words will be more useful.
For software ( laptops and desktops ) You can use Microsoft Power point
and Microsoft word.
Microsoft Powerpoint is a presentation program developed by Microsoft. It

is included in the standard Office suite along with Microsoft Word and Excel. The
software allows users to create anything from basic slide shows to complex
presentations.
For hardware ( pen and paper) it will be the usage of pen and paper. You
can also utilize some coloring materials like the crayons and colored pentel pens
to enhance your poster.
