of 11 and 14 when divided by (𝑥 − 3) and 𝑥 − 4) respectively. Find the
remender when the same polynomial is divided by (𝑥 − 5).

9. The packing fee(P) for an aeroplane at an airport is partly constant and


partly varies with time (T) that it takes at the airport. Two hours fee is
K375.00 while an hour costs k200.00. Calculate the hours of the airplane
which has been charged a fee of K112.500.

person works almost 40 hours in a week. He spends atleast 16 hours
cleaning the house and 6 hours washing the clothes in a week. He also
spends less than half the time spent on cleaning the house to washing
clothes.
a. Taking 𝑥 to represent the number of hours of cleaning the house and 𝑦 to
represent the number of hours for washing clothes. Write down three
inequalities in terms of 𝑥 and 𝑦 that satisfy the given information in
addition to 𝒙 ≥ 𝟎 and ≥ 𝟎 (3marks)
