What inspired you to choose this research topic?


– our inspiration for this research topic is the use of ChatGPT in classrooms. The Grade 10
students at Banaba Cerca Integrated School are interesting group to observe because they
are at a development stage in their learning. It will be interesting to see if the use of ChatGPT
enhances their academic growth.

How does your study contribute to the existing body of knowledge?


– The research will contribute to the existing body of knowledge on the impact of ChatGPT
student performance, particularly in the area of English studies. The research will provide
evidence to support or challenge other studies that have examined the impact of ChatGPT on
student performance.

What is the main research problem your study addresses?


– The main research problem is how the use of ChatGPT impacts the performance of Grade 10
students in the English subject at Banaba Cerca Integrated School. This research aims to
determine if the use of ChatGPT enhances or impedes the academic growth of the students
– the main research problem is the students is being dependent on the ChatGPT

Can you summarize your key findings in a few sentences?


– the key findings of the study are that the use of ChatGPT provides a summary of the study's
findings and conlusions, which determines the impact of chatGPT on the performance of
Grade 10 students in the english subject. This also provides recommendations. This research
was conducted at Banaba Cerca, Indang, Cavite and the Grade 10 students in Junior
Highschool in Banaba Cerca Integrated School were the respondents. They were chosen by
purposive sampling and qualitative approach was applied in this study. The respondents of
this research are the Grade 10 Students at Banaba Cerca Integrated School, both male and
female, whose age is fifteen (15) to sixteen (16).

What are the practical implications of your research?


– The practical implications of this research include a better understanding of how to
effectively integrate ChatGPT into classroom instruction and the development of best
practices for using ChatGPT in English studies and Education. The findings of this research
could potentially be applied in other schools or institutions, providing educators with insights
on how to use ChatGPT to enhance student performance effectively. Furthermore, it can be
beneficial to students, teachers, and so on, as it can help inform decisions and improve the
effectiveness of education policies

Why did you choose this particular research method?


– to know their viewpoints and experiences of the research participants

How did you ensure the reliability and validity of your data?
– We asked them using a survey questionnaire and a survey interviewer if they are related to
ChatGPT or they heard about GPT

What challenges did you face during data collection, and how did you overcome them?
– they are so slow to pass their answers

How did you analyze your data, and why did you choose this method?
– By using qualitative approach, we were able to know if it’s easier or complexity to the
students responses to gain a fuller understanding of their experiences using ChatGPT

If you had to redo your research, would you choose a different methodology? Why or why not?
– If I had to redo our research, I would not choose a different methodology, because qualitative
is enough to prove you that even though we didn’t use the quantitative, we were able to know
if the students uses ChatGPT on their English performance.

Results and Analysis:

Were there any unexpected findings? How did you interpret them?
– Yes, there were some unexpected findings. One unexpected finding was the use of ChatGPT
had a stronger impact on the language skills of students who were already good in English,
rather than those who were struggling with the language. This finding was interpreted to
suggest that ChatGPT can be a valuable tool for strengthening our writing skills, reading
comprehension and critical thinking.

How do your results compare with previous research in this field?


– Previous research in the field has generally yielded mixed findings on the effectiveness of
ChatGPT in improving student performance. While some studies have reported that ChatGPT
can enhance certain aspects of performance, others have found that they can negatively
impact other aspects of learning.

What are the limitations of your findings?


– The limitation of the findings is that we are specific to the context of Banaba Cerca Integrated
School and the students who participated in the study.

Can your results be generalized to other contexts? Why or why not?


– Our results cannot be generalized to other contexts because they are specific to Banaba
Cerca Integrated School and the students who participated in the study. Other schools and
students may have different responses and experiences to using ChatGPT.

How do you justify the conclusions drawn from your research?


– The conclusions drawn from the study are justified by the careful methods employed in the
research process.
