COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The National Service Training Program – Civic Welfare Training Service 1 (NSTP-CWTS) is a course for both male and female students in any
baccalaureate degree in at least two year’s technical/vocational courses in both public and private educational institutions. Purposely, the NSTP-CWTS 1, as a
service program intended for the youth is aimed at training the students for good and responsible citizenship invoking ethics of service, altruism, patriotism
and nationalism with the end in view of empowering them to assume community leadership toward national development through local initiatives.
COURSE OBJECIVES:
A. Familiarize students with NSTP law, its concepts, legal implications and its implementation;
B. Coordinate and conduct NSTP activities and projects that contribute to the betterment of life of members of the community;
C. Train, mobilize and involve student’s activities and projects contributory to the development of the immediate locality or community; and
D. Produce students that are civic-conscious, service-oriented and with enhanced intellectual, moral, spiritual, technical, and social well-being.
