Pinhole camera can be easily made at home using basic materials like cardboard, tape, and a pin. It works by allowing light to pass through a small hole and project an inverted image onto the opposite interior surface. Key characteristics of the pinhole camera image are that it is inverted and reversed left-to-right compared to the actual scene due to the straight-line propagation of light rays passing through the pinhole. Sample photos taken with pinhole cameras are also shown to demonstrate the effect.

• A pinhole camera, also known as a camera obscura, is
a simple optical device that captures images by allowing light to pass through a small hole and project an inverted image onto a surface located on the opposite side of the hole. It's one of the earliest forms of photography and is a precursor to modern cameras. • Pinhole photography is photography without a lens. A small hole replaces the lens. Light passes through the hole; an image is formed in the camera. Pinhole cameras are small or quite large what it’s working principle?
• Light Rays and Straight-line Propagation: Light travels
in straight lines. When a scene is illuminated, light rays from different parts of the scene radiate in various directions. What is the characteristic of image formed by the pinhole?
• When light rays from the scene outside pass through
the small hole, they continue in straight lines. These rays create an image of the scene on the opposite interior surface of the camera (the back of the box), which acts as the projection surface. The image formed on the back surface is inverted and reversed left-to- right compared to the actual scene. The End
