    • MARKING TOOLS
    • Pencil- used by builders to mark on surfaces like concrete &
    stone.
    NAME FOUR • Chalk – can be used for marking long, straight lines on flat
    TOOLS FOR surfaces.
    EACH • Marking gauge- used in woodworking and metal-working to
    mark out lines for cutting.
    CATEGORY • Gauge wheel- used for accurate measurement of rolling stock

     Measuring tape- has 25 foot length and is marked in feet and
    inches to make the standard distance easier to measure.
     Square-used for checking the correctness of right angles and a
    guide when drawing lines on materials before cutting or for
    locating holes.
    MEASURING  Bench rule- used to draw and cut extremely accurate straight lines.

    AND  Spirit level- used to indicate whether a surface is level or plumb.

     Hand drill- are used to bore holes, tighten and loosen
    fasteners.
     Gimlet- used to bore holes without splitting.
     High speed bit- used to drill wood, aluminum and cold
    rolled steel.
     Ratchet brace- used to tighten or loosening screws using a
    BORING screw driver bit.

     Hand saw- are used to cut huge wood or logs.
     Plane- used to flatten, reduce the thickness of the wood
    and impart a smooth surface to a rough piece of timber.

     Spoke share- used to shape and smooth woods such as
    CUTTING wheel spokes, paddles and chair legs.
