Hello Senior High Learner ! Welcome to the 2nd Quarter or
Final of the 1st Semester Topics. We are gearing towards the
realization of our dreams, thus, understanding our relationships
including acceptable and unacceptable expressions of attractions
will lead us develop intimate relationship with others. The
benefits of relationships that born out from its complexities create
a better version of you.
Activity 1: CONCEPT MAP ABOUT LOVE AND ATTRACTION
LINE
A. Directions: Think of ideas that relates to the word “LOVE”. Write your
answers in your activity notebook or on a separate sheet of paper.
B. Directions: Write at least 10 traits or characteristics that attracts you
towards opposite sex on your activity notebook or on a separate sheet of
paper.
Relationship – a state of connectedness between people.
Personal Relationships – relationships between people,
especially those between friends, lovers, and family members.
Personal Relationship is very broad and complex. Personal
relationship refers to close connections between people, formed by
emotional bonds and interactions. These bonds often grow from and
are strengthened by mutual experience. Adolescence are different from
those when you were a child. Friendship in adolescence stage becomes
important part in your life and characterized by more mutually
satisfying relationships of caring and sharing.
During this stage attraction toward the opposite
sex is experienced. Young Adolescent also explores
different types of relationship including romantic
relationships with a boy or girl relationship. Attraction
refers to the act, power or property of attracting or a person
or thing that draws, attracts, allures, or entices.
Commitment is the act or binding yourself
( intellectually or emotionally ) to a course of action. Love is
define as strong affection for another arising outof
kinship or personalities attraction based on sexual desire
or affection based on admiration.
There are different styles of love:
Eros ( erotic love ),
Philia ( affectionate love ),
Storge ( familiar love )
Ludus ( playful love ),
Pragma ( enduring love ),
Philautia ( self love ),
Mania ( obsessive love ),
Agape ( selfless love
According to Fisher, et.al. ( 2006 ) humans are driven to find
a mate, bond and reproduce and this human tendency is
euphemized with a term, called “Love”.

Activity 2: FIND MY LOVE
Directions: Study the triangular theory love by Robert Sternberg on
how love is being perceived. Answer the guide questions that follows
on a separate sheet of paper.
Guide Questions:
1. Describe your feelings when the news that BTS and
Black Pink will be visiting the country right after the
pandemic.
2. How about when boy/ girl next door smiles at you ?
3. Are you looking for an ideal man / woman or the right
woman or man for you ? Explain your answer.
4. How will you view yourself ten or fifteen years from
now ? What “ship” you will be sailing with ( friendship,
kinship, skinship and others ) ?

Directions: Supply the Venn diagram with words/ terms of your expressions and ways
of showing Attraction, Love and Commitment. Write your answers on a separate sheet
of paper.
