The campaign group says this has probably caused thousands of deaths, which it says is also tantamount to "committing the crime against humanity of extermination".

This includes "attacks with chemical weapons, barrel bombs, and other war crimes, as well as murder, torture, enforced disappearance and extermination that amount to crimes against humanity".

He also wanted the RSF to be classified as "terrorists... because it wages a war of extermination against civilians".

The commission concluded from its investigation that Israel has been guilty of the crime against humanity of extermination.

Israeli security forces have deliberately killed, wounded, arrested, detained, mistreated and tortured medical personnel and targeted medical vehicles, constituting the war crimes of wilful killing and mistreatment and the crime against humanity of extermination.
