MLK Read for Peace Day | January 17, 2025
Join us in honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by participating in MLK Read for Peace Day, a statewide service project dedicated to inspiring young minds with the message of peace, equality, and hope.
On this meaningful day, volunteers step into classrooms across Missoula public schools, where you'll engage with K-5 students. Volunteers will:
- Read stories that highlight Dr. King's life, vision, and his enduring message of peace.
- Lead fun, thoughtful activities that help students reflect on how they can bring peace and equality into their own lives.
This hands-on experience is not only a way to celebrate Dr. King’s legacy but also a chance to empower the next generation to dream big and make a positive impact in their communities.
Sign up today to make a difference and help share Dr. King’s dream with young learners!

Spread the love this Valentine’s Day by joining us for Service Saturday at the Humane Society of Western Montana! This heartwarming event is your chance to make Valentine’s Day extra special for the adorable adoptable cats, dogs, and bunnies waiting for their forever homes.
Last year, 16 amazing volunteers made over 50 treats and toys, brightening the day for countless shelter pets—and we can’t wait to make this year even more impactful!
