The Office of Engineering Development is committed to developing outstanding relationships with those who underwrite the College’s success. We honor donors through memberships in different societies and execute good stewardship practices that ensure donors’ wishes are followed.
The David K. Blythe SocietyThe David K. Blythe Society was created in 2005 by the College of Engineering to express its appreciation to its many alumni and friends who so generously support undergraduate scholarships. This society includes all those who have established named scholarships in the college, either by endowment or annual gift.
Dean Blythe was chosen as the namesake for this society because of his passion for undergraduate education and students. He was known for his advocacy for students, assisting them with everything from finances to résumé writing. He was a founder of the Engineering Alumni Association and worked tirelessly for the college for over 40 years. The David K. Blythe Society recognizes Dean Blythe’s outstanding accomplishments and his contributions to past and future generations of engineers.
The Quadrangle SocietyTaking its name from the distinctive and long-revered location on the University of Kentucky campus, The Quadrangle Society recognizes those who have given generous financial support to the College of Engineering.
Quadrangle Society members are honored at the annual Quadrangle Society Reception and Dinner every fall, receive a special forged medallion as a permanent display of the College’s appreciation of their gift, and are publicly recognized on the Quadrangle Society plaque in the Raymond Student Commons in the Ralph G. Anderson Building.
