What to expect

With endless ways for you to do what you love, you can spend your days exploring your passions and time off exploring the natural wonders around you. Our ideal teammate has a positive attitude, strong work ethic, is flexible, and is seeking the experience of working in a beautiful, remote setting. Grand Canyon Lodge at North Rim sits nearly 8,000 feet above sea level, so your ability and willingness to work at a high elevation is an important factor in our hiring process. We’re a close-knit community who does what it takes to get the job done and motivated to provide great experiences for our guests.

What can I do on my time off and are there organized activities?

We offer planned recreational opportunities as well as outings and trips to other National Parks and places of interests. Our teammates also enjoy hiking and camping during time off.
Where can I go shopping or get essential items?

Page, AZ and Saint George, UT are both nearby towns with grocery stores and retailers, along with restaurants and other activities that can be enjoyed during your off time.
Is there cell phone and internet access?

Cell phone service is extremely limited and works best along the edges of the rim, but not having cell service is a definite possibility. There is wi-fi in the dorms and employee dining room. While it is slow now, upgrades are in the works.
Are there appearance guidelines?

We require all of our team members to maintain a professional appearance, including the practice of good hygiene and no visible tattoos.
Is housing available and what is it like?

We offer dormitory-style housing for employees that can sleep up to three people per room. Each room has its own bathroom. The cost for housing also includes meals, which are served in our employee dining room. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are offered daily with snacks on hand for grab and go.
Do you hire international applicants?

Aramark is proud to partner with J-1 Visa sponsor programs. Interested international applicants should apply directly with their host country sponsor to begin the process.
Where can I buy or make food?

The employee dining room onsite provides all meals for our teammates. If you would like to purchase other food, there are stores in Page, AZ and Saint George, UT.
What is the best way to get to property? What transportation options are there?

Team members may drive to the Grand Canyon North Rim or access the property by a combination of air and shuttle service.

By Car: Main driving access is either via North/South Interstate 15 between Las Vegas and Salt Lake City or East/West Interstate 40 between Los Angeles and Albuquerque. There is plenty of parking available in our housing area.

By Air and Shuttle: It is best to fly into Las Vegas and then take a Greyhound Bus or the St. George Shuttle to St. George, UT. We provide free shuttle service from St. George, UT with advance reservations through Human Resources.

A vehicle is not a necessity at the North Rim, but it is a convenience. There is a no-cost employee shuttle service from the housing area to the work areas.
