- Length of program: 12 months. An optional second year of residency is available but is not an accredited program by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
Admissions criteria in order of importance:
- DMD or DDS from an accredited U.S. or Canadian dental school
- Commitment to general dentistry
- Class rank
- Grade point average
- National Board scores
- An interview is required for acceptance
- Applicants with a dental degree outside of US or Canada may be considered on an individual basis.

Applications Should Include:
- Completed Universal Application for Residency (PDF)
- Letter outlining interest in dentistry and interest in postgraduate program
- Dental school and undergraduate transcripts
- Dental class ranking
- National Board Scores Part I must be passed successfully before applying to the program
- National Board Scores Part II must be completed before applicant is eligible to start the program
- 3 letters of recommendation, to include one from the Dean of your Dental School
- Awards or distinctions, including dates
- Research and/or teaching experience
- List professional licenses/states in which you are licensed
- Relevant work experience
