Frequently Asked Questions

What visa do international students in the OFP program apply for?

Once a prospective student accepts their admission to the program, the program will request an I-20 on their behalf. If you need a visa to attend, please make sure to prepare important documents, including a copy of your passport biographical page, transcripts, marriage or birth certificates and passport information for any dependents, and a bank statement showing financial ability for the full first year of study.

What are the financial requirements for F-1 students?

When applying for the F-1, you must show that you have at least the full first year of tuition, plus one year of living expenses, which is valued at $17,000 per year. Students requesting an I-20 must provide additional proof of funding if bringing dependents in the amount of $7,350 for dependent spouse and/or $5,040 per dependent child. When preparing documents, please obtain a bank statement, in English, no older than 6 months. You may use multiple accounts, but do not submit multiple statements for the same account. If a family member or spouse is funding your study, please include a signed statement from them indicating that they intend to help with your expenses.

Do I need a TOEFL score to apply?

If you are a citizen of a country where the primary language is English, you do not need a TOEFL. We can also accept a degree from a school in an English-speaking country. The TOEFL is preferred for visa applications.
