RALEIGH, N.C. -- The No. 11 Duquesne University triathlon team placed fifth in the Division I team standings at the East National Qualifier on Saturday at Sandling Beach Recreation Area.

Eliza Miller led the Dukes with a 23rd place finish, clicking in at 1:02:10.5. Miller, a freshman and the top-ranked Duquesne athlete, had the fastest swim (10:19 - 10th best in the race) and run (20:53) times on the team.
Fellow first year
Isabelle Bannister followed on the leaderboard. Bannister placed 28th with a 1:03:06.9 and had DU's best bike time (30:36 - 19th in the race).
Sophie Brandwene (1:04:58.0) and
Robyn Hunt (1:05:21.5) crossed the line in 36th and 39th place, respectively.
Vivien Mattice took 43rd with a 1:07:25.4. Freshman
Andie Psilopoulos was right behind Miller in 11th place after the swim and finished in 46th with a final time of 1:09:43.3.
The Sandling Beach course featured a 750 meter swim, 12 mile bike (4 x 3mi loops) and 5k run (3 x 1mi loops).
