RICHMOND, Va. -- Freshman
Eliza Miller finished in sixth place to lead the No. 8 Duquesne University triathlon team on Sunday at the Robious Landing Triathlon. The Dukes had five athletes finish in the top-20 out of 79 competitors in a race that was modified to a duathlon with two run portions middled by four laps on the bike trail.
FULL RESULTS
Miller, who is ranked 21st nationally, was the top DU finisher for the third straight race to begin her collegiate career crossing the line in 59:19.32. Miller paced the Dukes in all three facets of the race, charting a 5:43.00 on the opening run, a 33:19.38 on the bike, then closed with a 19:22.88 run.
Isabelle Bannister (1:01:33.08 - 16th place),
Andie Psilopoulos (1:01:39.60 - 17th place),
Sophie Brandwene (1:02:09.26 - 19th place) and
Alexandria Meyers (1:02:39.72 - 20th place) all placed in the top 20.
Duquesne had 11 finishers in the top half of the field.
Robyn Hunt (1:03:05.94) took 23rd.
Vivien Mattice (1:03:54.71),
Abby Kreber (1:04:02.09),
Freya Davis (1:04:44.74) and
Kate Potashnik (1:04:52.47) crossed the line in order from 26th to 29th place.
Lia Bartholomew clocked in at 1:05:04.46 in 32nd place.

Duquesne will race at the
East National Qualifier on October 12th at Lake Norman State Park in Charlotte, N.C.
