1. Can you consider the school environment you just observed conducive for learning? Why? Why not? Conductive classroom and school atmosphere contributes to the learning of the students. Such classrooms have proper ventilation, welllighted and free from noise. If the school campus is conducive as well as the classroom, the attention of the students will become focused on the lesson. They will learn easily and comfortable. Physical condition of the classroom is not only to be considered as conducive. Teacher strategies are also factor to be considered. If the teacher uses novelty of instructional materials the pupils will become attentive to listen and learn. If there is a mastery of subject matter the lesson will have a sense of direction that leads to better learning of acquired knowledge, skills and values. I do consider the environment that Doa Rosario Elementary School had is conducive for learning.
2. What are the characteristics of a classroom that is conducive to learning? The kinds of classroom that are conducive to learning has the following characteristics: A high performance school seeks and provides adequate space and opportunities for students and teachers to spread out, reflect, interact, exchange information, examine and test ideas. The appearance of the school is inviting. Students, teachers, and the local community want it to be there. The school/classroom has adequate natural lighting that enhances productivity. The school strives for student-friendly conditions throughout the building. The school/classroom is inviting to good teachers and supports their retention. The school/classroom is clean and sanitary. The risk of an adverse health effect is very small. The school/classroom is designed to reduce stress. It is comfortable, has a consistent temperature, and manageable noise.

Write the most salient developmental characteristics of the learners you observed. Based on these characteristics, think of implication for the teacher. Level Salient characteristics Observed Implication to the Teaching-Learning Process
-Like to move a lot and play. -They like to draw. -They like to sing and dance.
-Therefore, teachers should not expect preschoolers to stay seated for a long period of time. -Therefore, the teacher should let the pupils to draw and assist them. -Therefore, the teachers should find ways on how to develop their talents. He should allow them to show it and encourage them in participating in different activities where in they can show their talents. -Therefore the teacher should provide different activities for them. He/she should also have different kind of approach for the diverse learning abilities of the pupils -Therefore, the teacher should be aware of what he is teaching and be careful of the way he/she pres e n t things. -therefore, the teacher should always master his/her subject matter before conducting his/her class the next day -Therefore, teachers should provide different teaching approaches and should use an advance way of teaching that is equipped on their age.
-Elementary pupils have different learning abilities such as dancing, singing, drawing, and are hungry of learning. -They are keen observers.
-high schools develop mind and are competent on the different learning activities.
(This part of the study was not undertaken at the Doa Rosario Elementary School)
1. While you were observing the learners, did recall your own experiences when you were their age? What similarities or differences do you have with the learners you observed? As I observed the learners, I can reminisce the past experiences when I was at their age. Way back in my elementary years, I was so naughty yet very participative in the class discussion. I lead some naughty friend of mine too. Sometimes, we dont enter classes and just hanging around to where we could climb fruit trees. But during exams, I always got the higher score than with my friends. I never study but still I learn in the discussion because I listen and I was so behave before when the class is going on. As to what the learner of my age today, I should say that some of them cant read well and fluently. Some of them cant write legibly.
A storage drawer that store the booklet for the students. Their classroom rules are encoded.
3. daily routines
Checking assignments.
Their seating arrangement are mixed(boys/girls) The students are reprimanded The students are given phrases.
They will learn how to make their things organize. They will understand how the rules and regulations govern the entire class and it should be follow To monitor if they have learn remembered the past lessons. They are comfortable studying on their chosen seating. They will be able to realize their mistakes. The students will be motivated in the pursuit of their learning.
What is the basis of the classroom organization and routine? The classroom organization and routines serves as their guide inside the classroom and how to organize the flow of the classroom system. Routines will also develop their personality like the spiritual aspect in prayer, physical aspect in exercise, 3 mental aspects in the form of recitation and motivations. I should say that the teacher (Mrs. Alicia U. Bernales) is knowledgeable in different multiple intelligences and that she knows the strength and weaknesses of the student. With that, individual differences of the learners were determined and had given attention to enhance their capabilities and make their weakness a strength.
1. Imagine yourself organizing your classroom in the future. In what grade level do you see yourself? What routines would you consider for this level? Why? Even though I observed a class of Grade II at Doa Rosario Elementary School, since Im a BSEd Social studies major student I imagine myself organizing my own classroom in the future and I would like to t e a c h a 2nd so year to fourth to year level because it is more appropriate for me and Im capable of this level. For me, it is not hard discipline these students and teach them. Such routines and procedures I will consider are Conducting prayers, checking of attendance, checking of assignment, review of previous lesson, and open a new lesson. Such routines also are exposing learners to music, hands-on activities, drill and etc. I would like also to be their classroom adviser to take part in their emotional and moral development. 2. Should learners be involved in making the class rules? Why? The learners should be involved in planning and in making of the classroom procedure so that they will be able to make adjustments and adapt to changes. Furthermore, they will be able to express their thoughts and feelings regarding the planned procedures. For an instance, if the students follow the seating arrangement alphabetically, in which the shortest among the group is also the one whose seat is on the last chair, if this is the case, it is unfair to the one who is the shortest in the class. To solve this, the seating arrangement should be in an increasing height manner. Thus, an agreement between the educator and the learners is significant to have a competent class.

The students I observed are the groups that interact more with their teacher than others. They behaved and interacted differently. All in the groups participated actively. Only few students ask for most help. When the students are called by their teacher, and cannot answer the teachers question, their classmates try to help each other. I am proud with their teacher because of her ability to make them disciplined. I feel a sense of oneness or unity among the learners and between the teacher and learners because they are all cooperate. As a future teacher, I want the learners interact in a good way. I will encourage all learners to interact and participate with my class by calling their attention and making them as one. As future educator, and given a chance to teach in the class of Grade under Mrs. Bernales, I would do such things also because all aspect of learning was emphasized in a single subject matter. I will do the same thing for I adore the techniques that she uses.
Complete the lead statement: I used to think that knowledge is general awareness or possession of information, facts, ideas, truths or principles. After doing this observation, I now think that knowledge is an overall awareness of intellectual, emotional, psychological and behavioral approach of a learner. From the experience, I feel that being a teacher is not a joke profession for we are going to mould the entire personality of our students, we should be equipped with vast knowledge and training together with professional etiquette we should carry to ourselves. If only appropriate teaching strategies and appropriate methods of teaching will be determined to use in a certain situation of teaching learning process, adequate knowledge will be imparted to the learners.
Home-School Link
Describe any tasks or non school-related tasks assigned to the pupil while at home. Most of the learners when given instruction at home were passive. They tend to follow orders if there are rewards or presumed punishment if they are not going to follow. On the other hand, if discipline and behavioral management were imposed to the learners, they tend to be organized and have an open communication to their parents if they are having told so to do their specified tasks. Let as take this as an example, Pedro was scolded by his mother for not washing dishes after dinner, Pedro would not take the scold since he insist that his older sister Lina should wash dishes for it is LInas schedule to wash dishes and not him. In this example we can see that if there is management and rules to follow at home, rules and management in school is easily to be followed by the learners. Who assist hem/her in doing assignments? Most of the learners now a day have tutors to aid in their assignments and cognitive development. But not all can afford to pay for tutorials or a nanny to do so, common families expect mothers to be well educated and well rounded on the intellectual, moral, emotional and behavioral even spiritual development of the entire family. In this social setting, we are hoping that mothers should do their responsibilities as mother as they can be. The great challenge on this aspect of home-school link was the so called pabaya mother. With this kind of parenting, more children were not being a good citizen of the Philippines. And more sakit ng ulo of the teacher would prevail in a classroom setting.
What time does the pupil perform her assignments, if any? Dinner is the most important meal bonding of the family, it is where the family talks a lot of things, advices were given, faults were corrected and plans were exposed. Most of the learners had their time doing assignments after dinner and before going to bed. It is believe to be perfect time in assisting all aspect of learners development and make him understand the things associated with it. Describes how the learners motivated to do his/her assignment at home? Motivation process involved many theories and application, most of the parents motivates their children to do assignments and tasks by following Thorndikes theory of reward and punishment. But this is not applicable to all learners, some learners need cuddling in order to let him follow you orders, other need much attention as your motivation and some easily follow for they feel they are responsible enough for their assignments and tasks.
As a future teacher, how would you establish relationship with the parents? As a future teacher, I could establish good home-school
relationship by conducting meeting once a month among the parents regarding the performance of their child. I will make counseling to them together with their child. By this, I will be able to inform them about the progress and failure of their children. In return, they could help me by encouraging their children to study at home and discipline their child to behave in school. If given a time I could also visit their home for further help on intellectual aspect of the children.
FIELD STUDY 1 (The Learners Development and Environment) I. The School as Learning Environment. -List down and describe school facilities that would that would help in the learning areas of a learner II.
