In Windows Vista: Click Start , then click the arrow in the lower-right corner of the Start menu as shown below, and then click Shut Down.
In Windows XP: Click Start Turn Off Computer Turn Off . The computer turns off after the operating system shutdown process is complete.

Ensure that the computer and all attached devices are turned off. If your computer and attached devices did not automatically turn off when you shut down your operating system, press and hold the power button for about 6 seconds to turn them off.

Lift the mylar tape and disconnect the low-voltage differential signalling (LVDS) cable from the back of the display panel.

Work your way around the sides and the top edge of the keyboard trim. Lift upwards and remove the keyboard trim from the computer.

Lift the clip to release the keyboard cable and disconnect it from the computer . Flip the keyboard over.

Peel off the adhesive tape securing the keyboard flat flex cable to the back of the keyboard and remove it from the computer.

Slide the access panel towards the front of the system and remove it from the computer.

Push the screw tab away from the computer to release the optical drive from the drive bay.

Remove the screws that secure the optical drive bracket. Remove the optical drive bracket.

Disengage the optical drive bezel tabs to separate the optical drive bezel from the optical drive. Remove the optical drive bezel.

Remove the screws that secure the hard drive bracket in place.

Use the tab to pull the hard drive bracket to release the hard drive from its connector.

Rotate the processor cam lock in a counter clockwise direction to the unlock position. Lift up the processor and remove it from the computer.

Remove the screws that secure the palm rest of the computer.

Disconnect the media button flat flex cable. Disconnect the touch pad flat flex cable. Disconnect the fingerprint scanner flat flex cable. Disconnect the power button flat flex cable.
10. Lift up the right edge of palm rest assembly. 11. Release the tabs on the left edge of the palm rest assembly and remove the palm rest from the computer.

Remove the screw that secures the modem card to the computer. Lift the modem card to disengage it from the connector on the back of the card. Disconnect the RJ11 cable from the modem card. Lift the modem card from the computer.

System Setup
Overview
System Setup allows you to: change the system configuration information after you add, change, or remove any hardware in your computer. set or change a user-selectable option such as the user password. read the current amount of memory or set the type of hard drive installed. CAUTION: Unless you are an expert computer user, do not change the settings for this program. Certain changes can cause your computer to work incorrectly.

Displays the battery status and the type of AC adapter connected to the computer

SMART Reporting
This field controls whether hard drive errors for integrated drives are reported during system startup. This technology is part of the SMART (Self Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology) specification. This option is disabled by default. Enable SMART Reporting
USB Controller
This field configures the integrated USB controller. If Boot Support is enabled, the system is allowed to boot any type of USB Mass Storage Devices (HDD, memory key, floppy). If USB port is enabled, device attached to this port is enabled and available for OS. If USB port is disabled, the OS cannot see any device attached to this port. Virtualization Support Virtualization VT for Direct I/O Allows you to enable or disable the Intel Virtualization Technology. Default Setting: Enable Intel Virtualization Technology Enables or disables the Virtual Machine Monitor (VMM) from utilizing the additional hardware capabilities provided by Intel Virtualization technology for direct I/O. Enable VT for Direct I/O This option is enabled by default. Trusted Execution This option specifies whether a Measured Virtual Machine Monitor (MVMM) can utilize the additional hardware capabilities provided by Intel Trusted Execution Technology. The TPM virtualization Technology, and Virtualization technology for direct I/O must be enabled to use this feature. Trusted Execution disabled by default. Wireless Wireless Switch Allows to set the wireless devices that can be controlled by the wireless switch. The options are: WWAN WLAN Bluetooth
