    As a fifth grade general education teacher at Escalante


    Elementary, a highly-diverse Title I school in the Salt Lake City
    School District, I have had the pleasure of working with Stacy
    Robinson for the past three months while she has been
    completing her student teaching. Upon meeting her in December,
    I was immediately impressed with her insights regarding student
    learning, and since then she has quickly grown and improved as a
    teacher.

    Stacy is an incredibly competent and reflective educator. Her


    classroom management skills are well-developed, and she was
    instantly able to manage the class while maintaining high
    expectations for student behavior. Stacy exudes a strong,
    confident teacher presence. She sets up a learning environment
    which promotes fairness for all students. Her rapport with the
    students is excellent, combining the right amount of positive care
    and nurturing with a demeanor that commands the students
    attention and respect. She conveys consistent expectations for
    student behavior and uses preventative techniques in behavior
    and classroom management.

    Stacy is able to plan and implement effective and engaging


    instruction, making adjustments according to students needs.
    She implements assessment that is consistent and on-going in
    order to plan for instruction. She excels in using many different
    modes of instruction in order to reach individual students
    learning styles such as hands-on materials, pairing and sharing,
    and cooperative learning.

    Stacy Robinson is a competent, effective and compassionate
