Week 1 and 2 – READING Grade 8

I 8.2A; 8.2E The scholar will determine the meaning of grade-level academic English words derived
from Latin, Greek, or other linguistic toots and affixes. Scholar will also use a dictionary, a glossary, or a
thesaurus to determine the meanings, syllabication, pronunciations, alternate word choices, and part of
speech of a given word.
