Lesson Reflection 1

The teacher reflected that she did well with the introduction of the math lesson, as the students were engaged and competing to answer questions. However, she realized that working with two groups at once was a mistake, as it disrupted the students' routine and prevented them from focusing on the assigned work, since the other group would interrupt. For the next lesson, she plans to work with only one group at a time and ensure the students understand the activities, in order to be more successful.

Lesson Reflection

Lesson Math (Number 17) Your Name Fatma Ebrahim

MST Amna Abdulla School Al Salamah Kindergarten

MCT Basel Badran

Class KG 2/4 Date 6/3/2018

Firstly, discuss one aspect that YOU feel you did very well. Try to analyze why you think it worked
well and what hints you would share with other teachers about the successful strategy/
resource/activity/management style etc.

I think in this lesson the best part was my introduction because, the students were answering me and they
were thinking and trying to find answers, and there was competition weather going on in the classroom which
made the students encouraged to participate.

For a successful lesson make sure it is student-centered, make sure you are enthusiastic, so your students will
also be, and make it fun!

Secondly, elaborate on the aspect identified by YOU that requires attention. Discuss what the
problem was, why it occurred and what action you intend to take to be more successful in the
next lesson.

The mistake that I did was that I took two groups and worked with them at the same time, while they are used to
choose only one group to work with, and the rest of the students would play in the centers. And the students were
not doing the work they were supposed to do because the other group would interrupt them.

My mistake was trying to change their routine.

So in my next lesson, I would not change their routine.

Personal focus for next lesson:

- Work with one group at a time.

- Make sure the students understand what they are supposed to do in the activities.
