Monica: Where am I?

THE SALESMAN
Mr. Winch was a retired farmer. One day while he was alone in his farmhouse, there
was a knock on the door. A salesman from the Potato Peeler Company stood outside. Mr.
Winch told him he did not want to buy anything, but the salesman insisted on giving a
demonstration of that material.” You’ll find it so useful that you won’t be able to do
without it”, said the salesman. He had a whole sack of potatoes with him and promised he
could peel every one in five minutes with that material. He carried the potato sack into the
kitchen and emptied it into the sink. Then he said,” Now, if I don’t peel all these in five
minutes, I’ll eat my hat”.
Mr. Winch smiled and replied, “I hope you will enjoy eating your hat”. Why was he
sure that the salesman wouldn’t be able to peel them in five minutes?
