Progress Test 3 Units 10- 12

A. Read the passage and write True (T) or False (F).

CRIMINALS
Two weeks ago I was with my girlfriend at a café. My friend had some problems with
her parents, so she was very sad. She explained everything to me while crying. I listened to
her carefully and when she stopped talking, I gave some advice to her. I wanted her to try to
understand them and talk to them about everything.
It was very sunny and I took off my leather jacket and put it on the other chair and
continued talking. I was very busy with explaining something to Betty when I noticed a young
boy near our table. Suddenly he grabbed my jacket and disappeared in a second. I began to
shout “Help, catch him. Thief, stop! ” and chased him but it was too late. We couldn’t do
anything to catch him and I immediately went to the police station because my wallet, money,
keys and a plane ticket to Washington for that day were in my jacket’s pocket. On that day
two police officers, a detective and I waited at the airport and Bingo! The young man in my
leather jacket came to check in. When he saw the police, he tried to escape but the police
arrested and handcuffed him and then they questioned him. They gave back my belongings to
me but my money wasn’t in my wallet.
Finally they sent him to prison because he was guilty and I went to Washington but
I must say that it was a very adventurous day for me.
