universe, seated upon a golden throne.

His mouth is wide open, and He has three eyes. He is
as radiant as the autumn moon. His left side is
ça rad - in du - sa ma - pra bham /

embraced by mother Lakñmédevé, and His form is the
lakñ myä/ liì gi ta - vä/mä/ìgam

shelter of all opulences, both material and spiritual.

The Lord has four arms, and His limbs are very soft. He

is decorated with beautiful golden earrings. His

powerful chest is resplendent like the lotus flower,
and His arms are decorated with jewel-studded
sa ro/ja - ço/bi to/ras kaà

ornaments.

He is dressed in a spotless yellow garment, which


tap ta - kä/ïca na - saì kä/çaà

exactly resembles molten gold. He is the original
pé/ta - nir ma la - vä/sa sam • • •
cause of existence, beyond the mundane sphere.
He is the crowning glory of the demigods such as
in drä/di - su ra - mau/liñ öhaù(a)

Indra, the king of heaven. He is bedecked with
sphu ran mä/ëik ya - dé/pti bhiù(i)
• •
rubies which are blazingly effulgent.

His feet are very attractive, and He is armed with

various weapons such as the conch, chakra, and
çaì kha - ca krä/di - he/ti bhiù(i)
• • other divine weapons. He is always filled with great
joy. Garuòa constantly offers Him humble prayers

Having seated Lord Nåsiàhadeva upon the lotus of

planetary systems, please protect my head.

Whatever one desires in this world he can definitely

He becomes victorious who desires victory, and he

indeed becomes a conqueror. He wards off the evil

influences of all planets, earthly, heavenly, and
everything in between.

This is the supreme remedy for the poisonous effects

and Yakñas are driven far away.

One may write this most auspicious prayer on his

wrist, and all of his activities will become perfect.

One who regularly chants this prayer, whether once
or thrice daily, he becomes victorious whether

among the demigods, demons, or human beings.

times attains the most auspicious of all auspicious

Having marked ones body
with tilaka, taking acamana
ta sya gra ha - bha yaà ha re/t

with water, and reciting this
tri - vä/raà ja pa mä/nas tu • •
mantra three times, one will
find that the fear of all
dat taà vä/ryä/bhi man trya ca

inauspicious planets is
removed.

pra sa ye/d yo/ naro/man traà

That person who recites this
mantra, while meditating
nå sià ha - dhyä/na m ä/ca re/t

upon Lord Nåsiàhadeva, has
tas ya ro/gaù pra ëac yan ti

all of his diseases vanquished,
including those of the
ye/ ca syuù ku kñi - sam bha vä/ù(a) • • •
abdomen.

Lord Nåsiàhadeva roars


loudly and causes others to
roar. With His multitudes of
arms He tears the demons

way. He is always seeking out
spho/öa yan taà ha tan taà rü/pyan taà

and tormenting the
tä/pa yan taà di vi bhu vi di ti jaà

demoniac descendants of
Diti, both on this earth planet
kñe/pa yan tam kñi pan•tam kran dan taà
• • • • •
and in the higher planets,
ro/ña yan taà di çi di çi sa ta taà saà ha ran taà
• • • • • • • • •
and He throws them down
and scatters them. He cries
bha ran taà vé/kñan taà pü/rëa yan taà
• • • • •
with great anger as He
ka ra - ni ka ra - ça tai/r div ya - sià haà na mä/mi
• • • • • • •
destroys the demons in all
directions, yet with His
unlimited hands He sustains,
protects, and nourishes the
entire cosmic manifestation. I
offer my respectful
obeisances to the Lord, who
has assumed the form of a
transcendental lion.
