Bizzy and Betty were playing tag at recess when Beth asked to join. Bizzy said no because it was a two-player game. Betty invited Beth to play something else instead. When Bizzy saw them having fun, she asked to play too. Beth included her, unlike earlier. The three bees then played the rest of recess together and became best friends.

I just want to bee friends

It’s playtime at Busy Bee Preschool and as always friends Bizzy and Betty are playing tag. When

Beth, the new bee comes up and asks if she can play too, Bizzy tells her no it’s only a two player

game. Betty tells Bizzy that there is room for another person to play but she disagrees. So Betty

decides to go and play with Beth instead. When Bizzy sees how much fun they are having, she

goes and asks if she can play too. Instead of being told that there isn’t room, Beth tells her yes

and they spend the rest of recess playing together.


(Bizzy and Betty playing tag)

Beth to Bizzy:

Beth: Hi! I’m Beth. I really like playing tag and I can fly really fast! Can I play too?

Bizzy: Sorry, it’s only a two player game. Got you Betty!

(Betty sees Beth and Bizzy talking and flies over to say hello to Beth)

Betty: Hi. I’m Betty. What’s your name?

(Beth is upset and doesn't hear Betty because she is flying away)

Betty to Bizzy:

Betty: What’s wrong with her?

Bizzy: I don’t know. Your it! You have to catch me now!

Betty: I want to make sure she is okay.

Bizzy: She wanted to play tag, but there can’t be three players so she’s going to go play

somewhere else. She’s fine.

Betty: Why can’t there be three players?

Bizzy: Because it has to be the same amount of people on both teams!

Betty: Well let’s go play with her then.

Bizzy: No! I want to play tag!

Betty: Well I’m going to go see if she wants to play something else.

(Betty flies over to talk to Beth)

Bizzy: Fine! I’ll Play tag by myself!

(Bizzy looks over and sees Betty and Beth playing a new game and it looks like a lot of fun! She

wants to try it too! So she flies over to them)

Bizzy to Betty and Beth:


Bizzy: Hey guys. What are you playing?

Betty: We are playing a new game that Beth taught me.

Bizzy: Well can I play too? Or is it only a two player game?

Beth: Of course you can play! The more people who are playing, the more fun it is!

Bizzy: I’m sorry I wouldn’t let you play tag with us.

Beth: It’s okay, at least we are all playing now.

Beth, Betty and Bizzy spent the rest of recess playing the new game that Beth taught them and

from that day, all three of them were best friends.
