Ladies and gentlemen. Good morning. I’m Anggi Dwi Lestari. Now, I want to speech about the
topic of English Teaching-Learning in Pandemic Covid-19

Since the end of 2019, the world has been rocked with a COVID-19. This virus was first
discovered in Wuhan, China. As April 27 2021, statistics from WHO, In Indonesia there have
been 1. 647,138 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Therefore, March 2020. The president of
Republic Indonesia adopted a policy of temporarily closing the teaching and learning process at
schools and universities urged them to study at home, and replacing them with online learning,
especially English Teaching-Learning. English as an international language is one of the most
important languages for humans. English is used as a subject in schools and even as an
additional subject outside of school. Therefore in pandemic, Teachers and students do virtual
learning by using online applications, such as WhatsApp, Zoom, Google Meet, and many more.

In pandemic we find Advantages and disadvantages, there are.. Advantages of English


Teaching-Learning in Pandemic Covid-19 are 1. it’s easier to absorb, meaning it is to use
multimedia facilities in the form of an image, text animation, sound, and also video. 2. Available
in 24 hours per day, meaning is matery in the material depending on the spirit Dissadvantages
of Teaching-Learning in Pandemic Covid-19 are 1. The lack of interaction between learners and
also students or even the learning themselves. 2. There are a lot of obstacles using e learning
because of the limited quota and signal 3. The learning may be frustrating if it cannot access
graphic, images, and videos due to inadequate equipment (software and hardware) .

Ladies and gentlemen. This pandemic have many lesson. That’s all for my speech I hope we’ve
